Thread-In Receptacles for Quick-Release Pins
Use a screwdriver to install these receptacles in a threaded hole. Use them to secure quick-release pins when you can't drill a through hole. They're made of 18-8 stainless steel for a balance of strength and corrosion resistance, and passivated for added protection against corrosion and oxidation.

Threaded Taper Pins
Threads on these pins stick out for easy removal from blind holes. Tighten the hex nut to draw the pin out. Often used for positioning components and securing assemblies, they taper at a uniform rate to fit in tapered holes. For a snug fit, use a tapered drill bit that matches the pin number for inch sizes or the small end diameter for metric sizes. They have slightly rounded edges to aid insertion.
Breaking strength is measured as single shear, which is the force required to break the pin into two pieces.
Steel pins have good strength. Pins that meet ASME B18.8.2 specifications conform to ASME standards for material and dimensions.
Length for inch pins measures the unthreaded length of the pin.

Threaded Locating Pins
Screw the shank into a threaded hole for quick installation and removal. Mate these pins with holes in workpieces for precise alignment.
Diamond-head pins make less contact with the inside of a hole than round-head pins to reduce sticking and jamming.

Threaded Plug Gauges
These have a go gauge on one end and a no-go gauge on the other end. They allow you to inspect internal threads on parts. A taperlock handle lets you quickly replace worn gauges.
Check the minimum internal thread size with the go gauge end, and check the maximum internal thread size with the no-go gauge end. A part is within tolerance if it’s easy to thread the go gauge into the part but difficult to thread the no-go gauge more than two turns.
Threads have different classes of fit. Thread fit designates the tightness or looseness of mating threads. For example, inch threads with a 3B fit have tighter tolerances than threads with a 2B fit.

Threaded Plug Gauges with Calibration Certificate
These gauges come with a certificate of calibration traceable to NIST that states they’ve passed a test for accuracy. They allow you to inspect internal threads on parts. All have a go gauge on one end and a no-go gauge on the other end. A taperlock handle lets you quickly replace worn gauges.

Hitch Balls
Mount these onto a hitch insert, and connect them to a trailer with a hitch-ball coupler. Maximum trailer weight is the total weight being towed.
