When precision timing is crucial, these timing belts minimize play (backlash). They’re often found in 3D printers, where accurate positioning is essential. Their curved teeth fit snugly with matching pulleys. Compared to belts with standard trapezoidal teeth, these belts transmit about three times more torque and run at higher speeds. All are compatible with Gates PowerGrip GT, 2GT, GT2, GT3, and GT4 series.
Neoprene—Durable and weather resistant, but lose elasticity if exposed to oil and fuel. These belts are reinforced, so they're strong enough to transmit power without stretching. Plus, nylon-coated teeth minimize friction and protect the surface from wear.
