Additional Specifications |
These micrometer heads come with a calibration certificate traceable to NIST that states they've passed a test for accuracy. For easier reading than other micrometer heads, these show measurements on an LCD. Mount them in jigs, fixtures, machine tools, movable tables, and other equipment that requires precise adjustments. They are held in place by the cylindrical mounting hub using your existing brackets or fixtures. Spindle length is the maximum extended distance when the micrometer head is set at zero.
Zero-position memory, also known as absolute (ABS) positioning, retains the measuring position when the micrometer is turned off. A zero-set button lets you start measuring at any point. SPC data output allows for connection to a computer or data processor.
Ratchet-Stop Thimble—Ratchet-stop thimbles have a constant-force mechanism to ensure repeatable measurements without relying on operator feel. They also have a speeder knob to reduce the time it takes to move the spindle. Once the spindle contacts the surface of the measured object, it will stop tightening, but the speeder knob will continue turning with a clicking sound.
Flat Spindle Tip—Flat spindle tips are often used in measurement applications and for bearing against round surfaces.
