Our most corrosion-resistant flat head screws that are made to Japanese Industrial Standards. Similar in appearance to Phillips, the JIS drive has a shallower opening with sharper angles and straighter internal walls. This lets them withstand more torque while preventing the driver from slipping and damaging the drive. Tighten them only with a JIS driver to avoid stripping the drive. Some JIS screws are marked with a dot near the drive for quick identification. They're made of stainless steel, so they won't rust or corrode when exposed to moisture and chemicals.

18-8 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments, these screws won't rust. However, they don't hold up to the harsh chemicals that 316 stainless steel can.
