    Electrical Tape

Image of Product. Front orientation. Electrical Tape. Electrical Tape.
Insulate wire and cable splices, wrap wire harnesses, and repair cable jacketing with this stretchy tape.
General Purpose—Best for everyday electrical or fastening jobs. This tape is the most conformable option, but provides less protection against wear and damage than thicker alternatives.
Weather Resistant—Withstands long-term outdoor exposure. Offering a good balance of conformability and protection, this tape won’t degrade from direct sunlight, moisture, and temperature changes.
Abrasion Resistant—Our thickest vinyl option. This tape holds up against scrapes and constant vibration from operating machinery, but doesn’t stretch as easily or conform as tightly as other tape.

    Self-Fusing Mastic Electrical Tape

Image of Product. Front orientation. Electrical Tape. Self-Fusing Mastic Electrical Tape.
Seal off electrical splices. This tape is thick and molds tightly around connections, filling in gaps and sealing out moisture. Plus, mastic rubber is self-healing—if it gets nicked, it settles to fill the gash and maintain the seal.
Apply an outer layer of overwrapping tape (sold separately) for a stronger, weather-resistant seal and extra electrical insulation.
No Facing—Conforms better than tape with a facing, so it seals around irregular shapes. We recommend you wrap this tape with overwrapping tape (sold separately) to protect the seal.
EPM Rubber Facing—A thin layer of EPM adds excellent electrical insulation without adding bulk, even when wrapped multiple times. However, it’s less abrasion resistant than vinyl facing.
Vinyl Plastic Facing—Seal your connection in a single step. A vinyl layer is already applied to the mastic for built-in abrasion and weather resistance.
Putty—Easy to tear and shape by hand, just like clay. Push it into gaps and seams to pad and build coverage.

    High-Strength Fiberglass Electrical Tape

Image of Product. Front orientation. Electrical Tape. High-Strength Fiberglass Electrical Tape.
Made with fiberglass for durability and abrasion resistance, this electrical insulating tape also withstands high temperatures. The cloth can absorb electrical insulating varnishes.
Rubber Adhesive—Bonds quickly when applied to a surface. This tape’s tacky grip offers a strong initial hold, but it won’t last as long as tape with acrylic adhesive and leaves behind residue when removed.
Silicone Adhesive—Withstands the highest heat and maintains flexibility in extreme temperatures. However, this tape takes longer to adhere than other tape, so it’s not as easy to handle in routine applications.

    Puncture-Resistant Varnished Cotton Electrical Tape

Image of ProductInUse. Top orientation. Electrical Tape. Puncture-Resistant Varnished Cotton Electrical Tape.
Image of Product. Front orientation. Electrical Tape. Puncture-Resistant Varnished Cotton Electrical Tape.
Coated with a high-grade varnish, this tape is strong enough to prevent sharp equipment edges, bolt corners, or wires from piercing your electrical insulation. It’s often installed with the adhesive side facing outward and then wrapped with additional layers of tape. This keeps your connection residue-free if you need to remove the tape for maintenance. Also known as cambric tape.
Apply overwrapping tape to add electrical insulation and shield from wear.

Image of Product. Front orientation. Contains Inset. Electrical Tape. High-Temperature Self-Fusing Silicone Electrical Tape, Tapered Profile.

    Tapered Profile

Create long-lasting seals around electrical connections, even in hot, cold, or wet conditions. Made of silicone, this tape stands up to chemicals, temperature changes, and UV rays, making it a good choice for insulating wiring and components in outdoor and other harsh environments. It is self-fusing, so it sticks to itself as you layer it for a secure seal that keeps moisture out. Also known as cold-shrink tape.
Tapered Profile—Thickest in the middle and thinner at the edges. This shape ensures that when you apply partially overlapping layers, the thickness remains uniform for a smooth, even surface and consistent dielectric strength. The center guide eliminates guesswork to help you precisely align each wrap.
ASTM D495—Rated to protect against electrical arcs, which cause surface damage that can lead to short circuits or fires.

    Conductive Glue-on-a-Roll

Image of Product. Front orientation. Mounting Adhesives. Conductive Glue-on-a-Roll.
Attach EMI/RFI shields and gaskets to electronics housings—these rolls are loaded with conductive fibers. Also known as adhesive transfer tape, they have a thin film of pressure-sensitive glue on a peel-away liner. Unlike screws, they won’t leave gaps for EMI to get in. They’re also more conformable than tape with adhesive on both sides.

    Low-Outgassing Aluminum Foil Conductive Tape

Image of Product. Front orientation. Conductive Tape. Low-Outgassing Aluminum Foil Conductive Tape.
Tested to meet ASTM E595, a standard used by NASA, this tape gives off almost no volatile emissions that could damage sensitive electronics, even in a vacuum. It’s more conformable than copper tape, so you can cover textured housings and round cables without leaving gaps for electromagnetic interference (EMI) to get in. When EMI makes contact, the conductive backing and adhesive convert it into heat and actively reflect it away. The conductivity of this tape also makes it great for electrical connections. Use it on surfaces that can’t be soldered.

Tested to meet ASTM E595, a standard used by NASA, this tape releases almost no volatile emissions that could damage sensitive electronics, even in a vacuum. Use it to repair and prototype circuit boards and shield components from EMI/RFI. With a copper backing and conductive adhesive, it’s useful for making electrical connections—current travels both along and through the tape. Unlike aluminum tape, it can be soldered. It’s also better at resisting chemicals.
