Mortorq® Bits

Hex Shank

Quick-Change Hex Shank

Turn the ultra-low-profile Mortorq® screws, often found in military and aerospace applications. Curved lobes make full contact with the drive to loosen dirty, dinged, and rusty screws.

Hex Shank—Also known as insert bits, these snap into hand tools. If you want to use them with power tools, attach a bit adapter (not included).

Quick-Change Hex Shank—Lock these bits directly into power tools. They won't wobble as much as bits paired with an adapter, so they are the best choice for high-precision tasks.

Steel—Best for dry environments, since moisture will cause these bits to rust.

Tamper-Resistant Square Bits

These bits fit around the security pin to turn tamper-resistant square screws. Use them to unlock electronic enclosures and other access-controlled equipment. They withstand more torque than tamper-resistant Phillips bits but not as much as tamper-resistant hex.

Reversible Tamper-Resistant Torx Bits

Turn two sizes of tamper-resistant Torx screws with one bit. Their six-lobe shape grips fasteners so they won't slip and damage the drive. Use them to unlock electronic enclosures and other access-controlled equipment.

Ball-Detent Bit Holder—Bits with a ball detent are less likely to slip out of the holder than ones without. However, they don't slide in and out of the holder as easily.
