    Clover Lapping Compound Paste

    This fast-lapping paste abrades quickly to produce a level, scratch-free surface. Apply it to your workpiece with cylinder laps, buffing wheels and bobs, or lapping sticks. Grit and microns are approximate.

    Diamond Lapping Compound Paste

    Diamond cuts more quickly, lasts longer, and leaves a finer finish than other lapping compounds. Apply with cylinder laps, buffing wheels and bobs, or lapping sticks. Grit and microns are approximate.

    Natural Diamond—Natural diamond is sharper than synthetic diamond, so it cuts faster. As the particles wear down, they fracture into new cutting edges, which maintains the fast cut rate over time.
    Synthetic Diamond—Synthetic diamond has a more consistent size and shape than natural diamond, so it creates a more uniform finish.
    Medium Concentration—Paste with a medium concentration of diamond particles removes material more slowly than paste with a heavy concentration, so you have more control over the finish. Use it in the final stages of your lapping process.
    Heavy Concentration—Paste with a heavy concentration of diamond particles removes material up to two times faster than paste with a medium concentration. Use it early in the lapping process.
    Water Soluble—Water-soluble paste is used in areas where oil could contaminate your work surface.
    Oil Soluble—Oil-soluble paste won't cause corrosion.
    Water Soluble/Oil Soluble—Water soluble/oil soluble paste is easier to clean up than oil-soluble paste.

    Thinner than paste, these slurries are easier to spread evenly over flat surfaces. They contain long-lasting diamond. Use them with a lapping machine or lapping plate. Apply slurry to the plate and rub your workpiece on the surface to create a smooth, level finish. Grit and microns are approximate.
    Medium Concentration—Slurries with a medium concentration of diamond particles remove material more slowly than those with a heavy concentration, so you have more control over the finish. Use them in the final stages of your lapping process.
    Heavy Concentration—Slurries with a heavy concentration of diamond particles remove material up to two times faster than those with a medium concentration. Use them early in the lapping process.     Water Soluble—Water-soluble slurries are easy to clean up, and you can use them in areas where oil could contaminate your work surface.
