    Air-Actuated Stopper Cylinders

Image of ProductInUse. When the rod extends, the load stops.. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Stopper Cylinders. Air-Actuated Stopper Cylinders.

When the rod extends, the load stops.

Control the movement of loads on your conveyor—the rod on these air-actuated cylinders extends to stop loads and retracts to let them pass. While standard air-actuated cylinders have a weaker rod that will bend with side impact, these air-actuated cylinders have a thick carbon steel rod that won’t bend. The rod is also chrome plated, so it won’t corrode in wet environments.

Clamp items in place to complete a step in your manufacturing process. These air cylinders rotate while actuating, so you can position, assemble, and inspect items. The body of these air cylinders has threaded through-holes on the face and sides, so you can mount them directly to equipment and thread accessories on. The rod is internally threaded, allowing you to attach an arm as needed for your application.
The piston is magnetic, so you can use these slides with sensors (not included) to activate relays and controllers. When the piston moves past a sensor, the sensor activates. You can use multiple sensors—one for each action you want to trigger.

    Clean Room Flexible-Mount Air Cylinders

Mount these cylinders directly to equipment in environments where contamination is a concern, such as electronics manufacturing. Use the threaded through-holes on the face to connect to equipment, or mount them with attachments (not included). Hook these cylinders into your compressed air line to push and pull loads. They’re double-acting, so they operate at full force in either direction. The magnetic piston inside these cylinders can activate relays and controllers when used with a sensor (not included). As the piston moves past the sensor, the sensor activates. You can use multiple sensors—attach one for each action you want to trigger.
Connect mounts to an air cylinder to create linear, pivot, or arc movements.

Fed. Std. Class 10 and ISO Class 4—Cylinders that are rated for use in Fed. Std. Class 10 and ISO Class 4 clean rooms have a port that connects to a vacuum or exhaust system to remove particles created by friction inside the cylinder before they contaminate your space. They’re also cleaned and bagged.
Fed. Std. Class 1,000 and ISO Class 6—Cylinders that are rated for use in Fed. Std. Class 1,000 and ISO Class 6 clean rooms have a low-friction polyurethane seal that wears slower and creates fewer particles than standard seals. As the rod moves, the seal wipes its surface clean of grease particles. The end caps are tightly crimped to stop air from leaking out. These cylinders have an ISO industry-standard footprint that fits common mounting patterns.

    Locking Air Slides

Image of Product. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Air Slides. Locking Air Slides.
Prevent sudden drops while raising and lowering grippers and other pick-and-place equipment. A safety end lock engages when air pressure is lost, stopping loads from falling or slamming against the air slide. The air slide guide rods keep the head from twisting as it extends and retracts for steadier motion than air cylinders. These air slides also have a larger mounting surface area compared to air cylinders, so you can mount or push larger items at the end of the slide.
The piston is magnetic, so it can activate relays and controllers when used with a sensor (sold separately). When the piston moves past the sensor, the sensor activates. You can use multiple sensors—attach one for each action to trigger.

    Heavy-Duty Air-Actuated Stopper Cylinders

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Contains Annotated. Stopper Cylinders. Heavy-Duty Air-Actuated Stopper Cylinders.
Stop heavy material in its tracks. With the same footprint as regular air-actuated stopper cylinders, these air-actuated cylinders have a lever end that absorbs 30% more force. Plus, they’re tested to withstand twice as many cycles. Made of carbon steel, the rod extends to stop loads and retracts to let them pass. Even if material jams into the rod from an angle, it won’t bend or snap. Choose them for high-volume lines carrying heavy material, such as pallet conveyors.

Convenient for use with devices such as grippers and printing heads, these air slides have a nonrotating head that provides steady motion and a larger mounting area than air cylinders. Parts Metering Air Cylinders

Space out parts on your conveyor line or vibratory feeder. Also known as escapements, these air cylinders have at least one finger that extends to hold parts and then retracts to release them. The fingers are built to withstand force from the side, so your part won’t slip past. All fingers have tapped holes on all five of their faces, so you can mount attachments to any side of them.

One-finger cylinders can be spaced as far away from each other as needed, making them the best choice for use with large parts. Create a system of these air cylinders by placing multiple along your line to control the timing and speed with which they meter parts.

Two-finger cylinders are good for precisely positioning items for sealing, labeling, and inspection. Operating on fixed timing and sequencing, they extend one finger to stop a part then extend the other finger to separate it. The two fingers hold the part like you would between your thumb and index finger. When the part is ready to be released, they retract the first finger while the other finger continues to hold back other parts. Lastly, they retract the other finger to let the next part through.

    Clean Room Table Air Slides

Move optical equipment and other electronics sensitive to dust and fine particles from a range of mounting positions. These air slides have a port that connects to a vacuum or exhaust system to remove particles created by friction inside the slide before they contaminate your space. Compared to standard air slides, these slides have a platform that extends the mounting surface to the top of the slide. This design reduces the total space needed for a full stroke length. Two guide rods keep the head steady as it extends and retracts.
A magnetic piston inside these slides activates relays and controllers when used with a sensor (sold separately). When the piston moves past the sensor, the sensor activates. You can use multiple sensors—one for each action you want to trigger.

Push one object while pulling another—when one head on these air slides extends, the other retracts. Often used in pick-and-place systems across two surfaces, such as parallel conveyors, they can take the place of two standard air slides. With guide rods that keep the heads from twisting, they move more steadily than air cylinders. They also have a larger mounting area.
