Nonporous Ceramic Alumina Sheets and Bars

Made from nonporous alumina, these sheets and bars resist gas and air permeation for sealed furnace linings, kiln furniture, and vacuum-system components. Alumina's high hardness and compressive strength outperform metals and most other ceramics in abrasive environments.

Pair these sheets with your oscillating tool to reach into tight spaces. Their hook-and-loop mount lets you quickly attach, remove, and reuse them with a compatible backup pad. Connect your tool to a dust extractor to keep work surfaces clear. A slick coating further prevents debris and heat buildup.
Paper Abrasive Backing—The standard, most economical option. It's good for high-volume sanding where you'll go through a lot of sheets.
Ceramic Alumina Abrasive—The sharp edges cut quickly for efficient material removal.

Trim the length you need, stick it to your sanding tool, and remove material quickly. These rolls have sharp, precision-shaped abrasive that reduces heat to prevent wear. The grains continually fracture to expose fresh cutting edges while keeping their engineered points and angle. When it’s time to change the sheet, just peel it off and attach a new one.
Cloth Abrasive Backing—Flexible and tear resistant, it's good for contoured or rounded surfaces where a rigid backing could crack or rip.
Plastic Film Abrasive Backing—Thin but strong, film resists tearing. It also holds up to water, so it's good for wet sanding.

Prevent debris and heat from building up while sanding curves and complex shapes. A coating or channels keep material from accumulating, so these sponges produce smoother results. They’re flexible to reach into tight spots and offer the comfort and control of a sanding block. Sponges have abrasive on all four sides.
Ceramic Alumina Abrasive—The sharp edges cut quickly for efficient material removal.
Style A—The standard style with a slick coating.
Style B—With thicker layers of abrasive, these sponges remove material quicker than Style C. However, they have fewer channels, so they can't clear away as much dust.
Style C—A good option for surfaces that generate lots of dust, these sponges have more cleaning channels than Style B.
Grit—The lower the grit number, the rougher the finish. The higher the grit number, the finer the finish.
