    Nylon-Insert Locknuts

Image of Product. Front orientation. Locknuts. Nylon-Insert Locknuts.
Versatile yet economical, these are the most commonly used locknuts. The nylon insert grips the screw to prevent loosening from moderate vibration without damaging threads. However, the insert may become brittle if exposed to high temperatures. These locknuts are reusable a handful of times, but the holding power decreases with each use.
    Lightweight Aluminum
6061 Aluminum—One-third the weight of steel, these nuts are commonly used in robotics, automation, and other applications that have weight limitations. They're an alternative to stainless steel for rust resistance but are not as strong.

    Conduit Locknut and Reaming Pliers
Image of Product. Front orientation. Conduit Locknut and Reaming Pliers.
Tighten locknuts and ream both the inside and outside of conduit with one tool. These pliers have combination jaws with multiple curved openings to work with 1/2" (13 mm) and 3/4" (19 mm) EMT conduit locknuts and 1/2" rigid conduit locknuts and flat nuts. Their machined nose fits snugly into locknut wings. They can also pull wire and fish tape, thanks to their serrated jaws. Pliers have plastic grips for comfort.

    Low-Pressure Aluminum Threaded Pipe Locknuts

Image of Product. Front orientation. Pipe Locknuts. Low-Pressure Aluminum Threaded Pipe Locknuts.
In addition to being lightweight, these aluminum locknuts offer good corrosion resistance. Use them in low-pressure flow applications. To prevent cracking, do not tighten more than a 1/4-turn past hand tight.
Locknuts thread onto the male end of a fitting to provide extra holding power so the fitting won’t loosen from vibration.
NPSL Thread—NPSL (National Pipe Straight Locknut) threads are compatible with NPT threads.

    Press-Fit Nuts for Sheet Metal

Image of Product. Front orientation. Press-Fit Nuts. Press-Fit Nuts for Sheet Metal.
Image of Product. Bottom orientation. Press-Fit Nuts. Press-Fit Nuts for Sheet Metal.
Add permanent threads to thin panels in seconds. The knurls on these clinch-style nuts deform and grip sheet metal to create a permanent hold. Push them into a drilled or punched hole with an arbor press around your workpiece to install—no messy welding required.
Lightweight Aluminum—At one-third the weight of steel, use these nuts in robotics, aerospace parts, and other applications with strict weight limits. They resist rust about as well as stainless steel but aren't as strong, so they're best for installation in aluminum panels.

    Breakaway Tamper-Resistant Nuts

Image of ProductInUse. Back orientation. Contains Inset. Tamper-Resistant Nuts. Breakaway.
Image of Product. Bottom orientation. Tamper-Resistant Nuts. Breakaway.
The most tamper-resistant nuts we offer, these have a hex head that breaks away upon tightening, leaving a non-removable cone. They can be installed using a standard wrench. Use them to reduce the risk of unwanted removal for objects in public spaces such as signs, lighting fixtures, and displays.
Aluminum—Aluminum nuts are lightweight, corrosion resistant in wet environments, and nonmagnetic.

    Serrated-Edge-Drive Tamper-Resistant Nuts

Image of Product. Front orientation. Tamper-Resistant Nuts. Serrated-Edge-Drive Tamper-Resistant Nuts.
These nuts have serrations that dig into the material surface to resist loosening and are narrow to fit in tight spaces. They must be installed with a nutdriver (sold separately). Use them to reduce the risk of unwanted removal for objects in public spaces such as signs, lighting fixtures, and displays.

    Split Lock Washers

Image of Product. Front orientation. Lock Washers. Split-Lock Washer.
Stop nuts and screws from loosening due to mild vibration. As you tighten, the uneven ends bite into the nut or screw so it won't back out. While they're not as vibration resistant as other lock washers, they are a great fit for electrical panels, light fixtures, and other light duty assemblies. Split lock washers are not reusable, and they only work with fasteners that have right-hand threads.
Aluminum—One-third the weight of steel, these washers are commonly used for assemblies that have weight limits. They're an alternative to stainless steel for rust resistance, but aren't as strong.
