The included type 27 wheel guards are required when using grinding wheels and cups. Backup pads (not included) are required when using sanding discs. Thread the backup pad onto the tool's arbor, then attach a sanding disc and secure with its disc nut.

With more power than angle grinders, these vertical grinders quickly remove large amounts of stock, rust, scale, and other materials. They’re also heavier than angle grinders, so they reduce fatigue when working on a bench. They’re good for heavy duty applications in foundries and shipyards.
