Use these sleeves alone or with gloves to protect your arms when handling sharp objects. They meet ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for various forms of protection, such as cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance.

All have an ANSI cut rating, which reflects the amount of force needed to cut through them with a razor blade.

A4—Sleeves with an A4 rating meet the common required minimum in industrial settings. They’re good for jobs involving sharp-edged materials, such as sheet metal and glass.

A5—Choose A5 when using cutting blades, knives, and sharp wire.

EN 388—Sleeves that meet EN 388 adhere to European standards for abrasion, tear, cut, and puncture resistance.

Disposable Arm Sleeves

Use these sleeves alone or with gloves to protect your arms from chemicals and other liquids.

Metal Detectable—Metal-detectable sleeves are used to keep contaminated material from leaving a facility—they’re common in food processing plants. To help you comply with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs, they contain metal additives that will set off metal detectors if they—or any piece of them—fall into your line. They’re also blue, making them easy to spot. They are FDA compliant for direct contact with food.

Polyethylene—Polyethylene sleeves offer economical protection in environments where abrasion resistance is not a concern. They resist liquid splashes, but they won’t hold up to continuous liquid exposure.

Polypropylene Fabric—Polypropylene sleeves offer economical protection in environments where liquid splashes are not a concern. They offer better abrasion resistance than polyethylene sleeves.

Polyethylene/Tyvek Fabric—Tyvek polyethylene sleeves are made of heat- and pressure-bonded olefin fibers, forming a barrier that's soft yet strong and abrasion resistant. They resist liquid splashes, but are not recommended for continuous liquid exposure.

Kleenguard Polypropylene Fabric—Kleenguard polypropylene sleeves are tear resistant and have three layers of fabric for more abrasion resistance than Tyvek polyethylene. The material is antistatic. It also resists liquid splashes, but is not recommended for continuous liquid exposure.

Vinyl Plastic—Vinyl sleeves protect against chemical spills and splashes.

Polyolefin—Polyolefin sleeves are abrasion resistant, and they protect against splashes of acid or other chemicals. They also hold up to occasional contact with paint spray, water, and other liquids.

Tychem 2000 Fabric—Tychem 2000 (formerly known as Tychem QC) sleeves are coated in polyethylene for protection from inorganic acids and bases.
