Acid and Base Neutralizers
Bring the pH level of acids and bases back to neutral, making them less hazardous. You’ll know the process is complete when these neutralizers change color. They’re often used on chemical spills in labs.
Choose pads and wipes for cleaning small chemical spills and residue on equipment. Pads are for liquid acids or bases. Do not use pads for acids with hydrofluoric acid or water.Pour liquids and powders onto spills, or add them to processes such as deionized water systems and wastewater tanks to adjust their pH levels. Powders are concentrated, so they neutralize about twice as much as liquids.
Acid and Base Spill-Control Kits
These kits have everything you need to safely clean up acid and base spills. All kits include sorbents and personal protective equipment. Keep them on hand in labs, warehouses, and other areas where chemicals are used and stored.
The wall-mount metal cabinets guarantee your kits are always in the same spot. Not for use with hydrofluoric acid.
Combination acid and base kits in a plastic pail have pH test strips to detect whether your spill is an acid or a base.

Harsh Chemical Spill-Control Kits
Be prepared for a variety of chemical spills at your worksite.
Kits for solvents include a granular sorbent for soaking up fuel, thinners, and other spills, as well as a liquid microbial cleaner for treating the solvent. The liquid cleaner reduces harmful and flammable vapors and reduces flammability by raising the flash point of the absorbed spill to 140° F.
Kits for ammonia include a liquid neutralizer. Pour or spray the neutralizer onto the spill, even when it's on a vertical surface. The liquid neutralizer binds with the ammonia to form safe organic salts.
Kits for acids, bases, hydrofluoric acid, formaldehyde, and solvents include a neutralizing granular sorbent for acid spills, such as battery or hydrochloric acid, and one for base spills, such as sodium hydroxide. They also include separate granular sorbents for neutralizing hydrofluoric acid and formaldehyde. Kits have a granular sorbent for neutralizing solvents that captures harmful vapors and elevates the flash point of the spill to 140° F to reduce flammability.

Acid and Base Neutralizing Granular Sorbents
Neutralize and absorb corrosive liquids in a single step. These mineral-based sorbents spread over spills to quickly lock in and neutralize acids or bases.
Use sorbents for acids on spills such as battery or hydrochloric acid. Not for use with hydrofluoric acid.
Use sorbents for bases on spills such as sodium hydroxide or ammonia solutions.
The jar includes a shaker top to sprinkle granules over small spills.
The sorbent made of perlite will change color when acid or base neutralization is complete.
Acid and Base Neutralizing Sorbents
Not only do these socks and pillows dam spills and sop up leaks, they also neutralize the pH level so you can dispose of them safely. Keep them in areas where acids or bases are used, such as in metal treating, chemical processing, and laboratory applications.
Place pillows under leaks to catch drips or onto spills to sit and soak. Wrap socks around spills to stop flow and limit the size of the cleanup.
Harsh Chemical Neutralizing Granular Sorbents
Sop up hydrofluoric acid, solvent, and formaldehyde spills with these granular sorbents. They safely absorb and neutralize chemical spills in a single step.
Solvent sorbents lock in cleaners, thinners, and fuels such as toluene, mineral spirits, acetone, and methyl ethyl ketone (MEK). Unlike other sorbents, they capture harmful vapors and elevate the flash point of the spill to 140° F to reduce flammability.
Formaldehyde sorbents soak up formaldehyde and other aldehyde solutions. They also suppress their hazardous vapors.
