About Bearing Heaters
Heating bearings makes them easier to install and reduces damage to shafts during installation. Heat expands the bearing's inner race for a snug fit without forcing a tight-fitting bearing onto a shaft. Bearing heaters can also be used on gears, sprockets, pulleys, and bushings. Induction bearing heaters use magnetic induction to heat but do not magnetize parts.
Crossbar Induction Bearing Heaters

Heat bearings much more quickly and uniformly than cone-style and hot-plate heaters. These heaters use magnetic induction to heat but do not magnetize parts. Slide the bearing onto the crossbar and flip the switch to heat the bearing to 250° F. Heaters includes two sizes of crossbars to accommodate a range of IDs. For the fastest heating, use the largest crossbar that fits through your bearing. Heaters can also be used for demagnetizing. Temperature-indicating crayons (not included) are recommended.
Riser blocks (sold separately) lift the heater’s crossbars to accommodate larger OD bearings.

Digital Crossbar Induction Bearing Heaters

Use the digital control to set the temperature from 230° to 482° F. This heater uses magnetic induction for even heating and automatically demagnetizes bearings. Slide the bearing onto the crossbar and place the temperature probe on the bearing. The heater beeps and shuts off when the set temperature is reached. It comes with three crossbars to accommodate a range of IDs. For the fastest heating, use the largest crossbar that fits through your bearing. A circuit breaker prevents overcurrent and overheating.

Hot-Plate Bearing Heaters

Set one or more bearings flat on the plate. This heater has a thermostat that adjusts from 120° to 390° F and lights that indicate when the plate has reached the desired temperature. It’s housed in a metal case that minimizes heat loss and keeps dirt out of your bearings. In case of overheating, the heater will shut off.
