Also known as chrome-moly steel, these 4130 alloy steel round tubes have low carbon content for good weldability. They’re often used for roll cages and frames. To increase their wear resistance, you can harden them with heat treating.

Press them into a fixture plate with a manual or hydraulic press for permanent installation. Also known as headless bushings, these ANSI-type P bushings don’t need counterboring to be mounted flush.
