    Dry-Running Metal-Reinforced Plastic Sleeve Bearings

    Combine slippery plastic with the strength of metal. The PTFE core is naturally slippery, so you’ll never have to add lubricant. These bearings also keep your workspace clean with no lubricant to drip or flake and attract dust. Compared to all-metal bearings, they are lighter.
    With no moving parts, sleeve bearings are the simplest way to support the load of a rotating shaft while reducing friction. Also known as plain bearings.
    Bronze-Backed PTFE with Steel Shell—A good all-around, economical choice. Although these bearings are stronger than aluminum, they can only be used in dry environments where corrosion is not a concern.

    Leave the lubricant in the supply closet—these low-maintenance bearings are made from naturally slippery plastic. They'll keep shafts spinning with no messy grease to drip off, wash out, or collect dust. With no moving parts, sleeve bearings stand up to grimy environments better than ball bearings. However, with more friction generated, they're less effective at high speeds. The sturdy housing supports the shaft and secures with a two-bolt flange, the most common type of flanged bearing.
    High-Load Bronze-Backed PTFE—Reinforced with metal, these slick PTFE bearings carry load ratings at least seven times greater than any plastic alternative. The slippery material is a good fit for conveyors and other machinery with frequent starts and stops.
    Aluminum Housing—One-third the weight of cast iron but not as strong. Aluminum also resists corrosion.
    Misalignment Capability—Bearings compensate for as much shaft misalignment as the degree listed. This extends the life of the bearing and protects against wear if shafts are slightly askew.

    Highly Corrosion-Resistant 316 Stainless Steel Round Tubes

    Fabricate frames, machine enclosures, railing bases, and other components that hold up in highly corrosive environments. One of the most corrosion-resistant types of stainless steel, 316 stands up to the harshest chemicals, including bleach, chlorine, and phosphoric acid. It’s similar in strength and temperature resistance to 304 but is better suited for demanding marine and chemical-processing environments. Use these tubes for structural and ornamental applications that require strength, rigidity, and aesthetics. They should not be used for pressure containment and fluid handling. Compared to rectangular tubing, they resist twisting better and bend more uniformly.
    These tubes maintain corrosion resistance in temperatures up to 1500° F.
    316/316L Stainless Steel—Dual certified to meet both 316 and 316L requirements. The low carbon content makes this stainless steel easy to weld while maintaining strength and corrosion resistance.
    Seamless—Stronger than welded shapes. They have a smooth, uninterrupted surface without stress points from seams. They’re also easy to clean.
