    Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sleeve Bearings. Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings.
Install and forget these self-lubricating bearings. All are made from porous metal and saturated with oil to reduce maintenance and downtime. A good all-around choice, they are used in everything from palm-sized fans in electronics to tire-sized pulleys. Although these bearings will work in most conditions, oil may drip away if temperatures get too high. Consider a graphite-lubricated bearing for higher temperatures or places where you can’t afford the mess. All are fabricated, lubricated, and inspected in the U.S.
With no moving parts, sleeve bearings are the simplest way to support the load of a rotating shaft while reducing friction. Also known as plain bearings.
841 Bearing Bronze—A classic choice for a starter pick. Also known as SAE 841 bearings.
Mineral Oil Base—Mineral oil consistently lubricates at most temperatures but doesn’t last as long as synthetic oil.
Synthetic Oil Base—A high-quality lubricant makes all the difference. Synthetic oil is less sensitive to temperature changes than mineral oil, so it won't get runny and leak away at higher temperatures.

    Mounted Ball Bearings

Smoother than smooth—the balls inside these bearings roll nearly friction-free. The sturdy housing bolts down to support shafts as they turn.
Lubricate regularly to keep your bearing in tip-top shape. Bearings with seals and shields keep lubricants in and contaminants out, and come packed with grease. Open bearings require initial lubrication and offer less protection against dust and debris.
Nickel-Plated Cast Iron Housing—Combine the strength of iron with the corrosion resistance of stainless steel at an affordable price point. Nickel-plated iron is also unlikely to chip.
Set Screw—Turn the screw to lock your shaft in place. A simple, reliable choice, set screws grip tightly, but they can mar shaft surfaces.
Misalignment Capability—Bearings compensate for as much shaft misalignment as the degree listed. This extends the life of the bearing and protects against wear if shafts are slightly askew.

    One-Piece Thrust Ball Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thrust Bearings. One-Piece Thrust Ball Bearings.
No need to assemble cages and washers—these thrust ball bearings come as one piece for easy installation. The balls spin inside a raceway instead of a cage, so there's room for more balls to support higher loads than three-piece bearings. An outer band holds the balls inside the raceway, keeping lubricant in and dirt out.
Steel—Strong and wear resistant. However, these bearings are best for dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.

    Mounted Tapered-Roller Bearings

Support heavier loads than mounted ball or needle-roller bearings, but at lower speeds. These bearings also withstand thrust loads, which are forces acting parallel to the shaft. The sturdy housing bolts down to support shafts as they turn.
Lubricate your bearings regularly to keep them in tip-top shape. These bearings come packed with grease and sealed to block out dust and contaminants.
Powder-Coated Cast Iron Housing—A rugged iron base coated in thick powder that protects against water, mild detergents, and oil. However, if the coating is scratched or chipped, the underlying iron may rust.
Set Screw—Turn the screw to lock your shaft in place. A simple, reliable choice, set screws grip tightly, but they can mar shaft surfaces.

    High-Temperature Graphite-Lubricated Thrust Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thrust Bearings. High-Temperature Graphite-Lubricated Thrust Bearings.
Keep parts spinning in temperatures as hot as 750° F. Lubricated with graphite, these bearings stay slippery where oil would burn off or solidify. You can install and forget them since the lubricant lasts forever. All are fabricated, lubricated, and inspected in the U.S.
Extreme-Temperature Chemical-Resistant Graphalloy—From the freezer to the furnace, these bearings glide in extreme temperatures where other bearings grind and fail. They withstand strong acids and bases found in cleaning fluids. They even work underwater without swelling or warping.

    Flanged Sleeve Bearings

These bearings don’t come with a lubricant, so you can select the oil that meets the needs of your application. You’ll need to refill the oil, so make sure the bearing is located where you can access it. All are fabricated and inspected in the U.S.
Flanged sleeve bearings combine a sleeve and thrust bearing in one. The flange supports thrust loads and prevents the bearing from being pushed out of place. The sleeve is the simplest way to support the load of a rotating shaft while reducing friction. Also known as plain bearings.
High-Load 932 Bearing Bronze—These bearings are strong enough for sudden starts and stops, plus they resist wear and tear. They are cast from an alloy of leaded tin bronze for uniform rigidity and strength. Also known as 660 leaded bronze bearings.

    Bearings

    Washers

Small but mighty, our thinnest rolling thrust bearings slot into tight spaces and spin at whirring speeds. Their long, slender rollers support thrust loads and reduce friction in everything from machine tool spindles to gearboxes.
A cage holds the rollers in place. You can install these bearings without washers between hardened, ground surfaces for the thinnest profile. If you’re working with unhardened, unground surfaces, you’ll need two washers for the rollers to run on. This three-piece design is easy to lubricate, but the oil will attract dust and grime since it’s exposed.

    Washers for Needle-Roller Thrust Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thrust Roller Bearing Washers.
These hardened steel washers protect softer shafts and housings from the rolling contact of needle rollers. Without them, needle rollers can indent and score unhardened surfaces, leading to premature wear and bearing failure. Positioned between the bearing and each mating surface, these washers distribute thrust loads evenly and extend service life. They adapt needle-roller thrust bearings for unhardened, unground surfaces.

    Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thrust Bearings. Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings.
Our simplest-to-use thrust bearings, with no moving parts and no need to lubricate. Their porous surface releases oil over time, so you can install and forget them. While they run in most conditions, oil may drip away if temperatures climb too high. For extremely hot environments, consider graphite-lubricated bearings. All are fabricated, lubricated, and inspected in the U.S.
841 Bearing Bronze—A balance of strength and speed makes these bearings a good choice for most applications. Also known as SAE 841 bearing bronze.
Synthetic Oil Base—A high-quality lubricant makes all the difference. Synthetic oil is less sensitive to temperature changes than mineral oil, so it won't get runny and leak away if the bearing heats up.

    Ultra-Low-Friction Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thrust Bearings. Ultra-Low-Friction Oil-Embedded Thrust Bearings.
Our slipperiest metal thrust bearings glide on machines with frequent starts and stops, such as conveyors. Their oil contains nonstick PTFE particles that reduce wear and heat, extending the life of your equipment. All are fabricated, lubricated, and inspected in the U.S.
841 Bearing Bronze—A balance of strength and speed makes these bearings a good choice for most applications. Also known as SAE 841 bearing bronze.
High-Load 863 Iron Copper—Iron makes these bearings harder, stronger, and more resistant to sudden starts and stops than 841 bearing bronze. However, they run at slower speeds. The increased iron content also makes them appear silver.
