    Air Fill Valves

    Also known as Schrader valves, these valves rapidly fill or empty compressed air tanks or pneumatic tires.

    Brass Body—Brass valves are softer than other metals, so they’re easier to thread together. They have good corrosion resistance.
    Nickel-Plated Brass Body—Nickel-plated brass valves have better corrosion resistance than unplated brass valves.
    Stainless Steel Body—Stainless steel valves have very good corrosion resistance, so they’re the best choice for high humidity environments.

    High-Pressure Fill Valves for Air and Hydraulic Fluid

    Add air and hydraulic fluid to high-pressure struts, tanks, and hydraulic accumulators—these fill valves withstand pressures up to 5,000 psi. They meet MIL-PRF-6164, a military spec for high-pressure pneumatic valves used on aircrafts. Their stainless steel body resists rust in wet environments.
    Screw a coupler (not included) onto these valves to open them and let air flow in.

    Compressed Gas Valves

    Mount these valves onto compressed gas tanks. Also known as Schrader valves—which are typically used with compressed air—they have an internal spring that holds the valve shut when you depress the pin to add, remove, or check the pressure of compressed gas. Made of brass, these valves thread onto nuts more easily than valves made of harder metal. They also have good corrosion resistance. Valves have a thread cap to protect the stem from accidental gas release.
    For Butane—Valves for use with butane are commonly used on torches. They’re nickel plated for extra corrosion resistance.
    For Nitrogen—Valves for use with nitrogen are often used in central heating systems.
