Similar to the brake cable on a bicycle, these cables exert pulling force so you can control components such as latches, release valves, and brakes. When you relax your pull, springs in your component pull the cable back. To connect these cables, anchor them on both ends through a panel or bulkhead using the included nuts. They have a steel core, but they’re flexible so you can weave them around obstacles and corners to connect to hard-to-reach components. Surrounding the cable is a plastic cover that stays in place as the cable slides through smoothly. The cover is durable and protects the cable from dirt and abrasion.
Once they’re connected, control these cables using a knob or handle. Some come with a knob attached, but add your own otherwise.

    Steel Cable Core with

    Plastic Cover

Transmit rotary motion to operate valves, throttle controls, and HVAC damper controls. These cables are flexible, so you can weave them around obstructions to manipulate controls from a distance. They have a D-profile shaft on one end for installing a manual control knob and a set screw on the other end for securing to a shaft. Push the male end of the shaft through a panel cutout and secure with locknuts.
Plastic Cable Cover—Cables with a plastic cover protect the core from bending. The cover also helps to prevent injury from the rotating cable.
