Tight-Hold Bowed Side-Mount External Retaining Rings

Install from the side and these rings hold on tight for the long haul. If a groove is imperfect or wears over time, these bowed rings will outlast standard rings. When flattened, they push back like a spring to maintain a secure and steady hold. Push into the groove with a side-mount retaining ring tool.
Ring OD is measured with the ring uninstalled.
Phosphate-Coated Carbon Steel—The most popular choice, these are strong and wear resistant. Their finish adds some corrosion resistance, but only to minimal dampness.
