Tight-Tolerance High-Strength 863 Bearing Bronze Bars

Combine precision and high strength. These 863 bearing bronze bars come ground to paper-thin tolerances on top and bottom for parts that require pinpoint precision.

Alloyed with manganese, 863 is strong enough to carry heavy loads at high speeds when properly lubricated. Use it for parts that won't buckle or break under stress, such as heavy-load bearings and hydraulic cylinder components. Also known as manganese bronze.

Oil-Embedded 841 Bearing Bronze Sheets

With a porous surface that releases oil over time, this bronze lubricates itself. Turn it into parts that you can't easily access to relubricate, such as bearings, well pumps, and turbine blades. The oil may burn away if temperatures climb too high, however. For extreme heat up to 700° F, consider graphite-embedded bearing bronze instead.

One of the most corrosion-resistant bearing bronze alloys, 954 withstands everything from sea water to sulfuric acid. It's often turned into bearings and valve bodies for demanding environments such as salt mines. Also known as aluminum bronze. If you need similar corrosion resistance with even greater strength, consider 955 bearing bronze instead.
