    Buffing and Polishing Pad Assortments

Image of Product. Front orientation. Buffing and Polishing Pads. Buffing and Polishing Pad Assortments.
Keep a set of pads on hand to cover every step of the buffing and polishing process. Use pads for cutting at the beginning of your process to remove heavy oxidation and deep scratches. For smoothing and light repairs, use pads for polishing. Pads for finishing are for the final touches on your workpiece, since they leave the fewest swirl marks.
These assortments include both foam and wool pads. Foam pads are more delicate and leave fewer swirl marks than wool pads. Wool pads are better at removing deeper defects than foam pads, but they will create more microscopic marks.
Swap out one pad for another in seconds—they mount to your backup pad using hook and loop. Their back is recessed to cover the edge of your backup pad, preventing it from scratching your workpiece.

Recessed Back—Pads with a recessed back are used with standard rotary polishers. The pad material covers the edge of your backup pad to prevent it from scratching your workpiece.

    Polishing Bonnets

Image of Product. Back orientation. Polishing Bonnets. Drawstring.

    Drawstring

Smooth and shine the surface of your workpiece. These bonnets are gentler than buffing and polishing pads, so they’re used for the final finishing steps. They fit over the backup pad on your polishing tool. Order a bonnet that’s one size larger than your pad.
Lambswool—Lambswool and polyester bonnets are slightly more abrasive than terry cloth bonnets. They’re often used for buffing out light scratches and swirl marks from compounding. Use a bonnet cleaner to remove buildup on lambswool bonnets to extend their life.

    Tip

Eliminate the need for messy compounds while polishing hard metals. These bobs come embedded with diamond, the hardest abrasive we offer. They’re best for cutting into stainless steel, titanium, and other tough materials. Use them to polish small areas and hard-to-reach spots with a drill or grinder for bits and burs. Grit is approximate.
Wool Felt—Softer than rubber, these bobs better conform to your work surface and prevent gouging. They're the best choice for final finishing steps.

No-Mess Polishing Bobs for Soft Metals and Nonmetals

Forget the mess—polish soft metals and nonmetals without compounds. These bobs are embedded with silicon carbide abrasive, which generates minimal heat to reduce material buildup. That makes them best for polishing soft materials prone to clogging, such as aluminum and plastic. All cut fast and with light pressure. Use them to polish small areas and hard-to-reach spots with a drill or grinder for bits and burs. Grit is approximate.
Wool Felt—Softer than rubber, these bobs better conform to your work surface and prevent gouging. They're the best choice for final finishing steps.

Polish workpieces of any material. These bobs are made of felt, so you can pair them with your choice of buffing compound or lapping paste. Use bobs with a drill or grinder for bits and burs to polish small areas and hard-to-reach spots.
Wool Felt—These bobs absorb and retain compounds better than synthetic felt bobs, so you don't need to reapply the compounds as often.
Soft—Create the finest finish and polish delicate materials.
Medium—Balance removing material with leaving a smooth finish.
    Hard—For aggressive material removal.
Extra Hard—The most aggressive material removal. These bobs are also good for hard materials.

    Shank Adapters

Arbor-mount pads thread onto your tool’s arbor.
2 Polishing Sides—Pads with 2 polishing sides can be flipped for a fresh polishing side. They require an adapter (sold separately).
For Cutting—Use pads for cutting at the beginning of your process to remove heavy oxidation and deep scratches.
For Finishing— Pads for finishing are for the final touches on your workpiece, since they leave the fewest swirl marks.
Wool and Acrylic/Wool Fabric—Wool and acrylic/wool fabric pads are more aggressive than foam pads, so they’re better at removing imperfections. However, they create more microscopic marks on surfaces.
Polisher Arbor Extensions—Use arbor extensions (sold separately) to add up to 9" between your polisher and pad.

No-Mess Polishing Bob Assortments for Hard Metals

Image of Product. Front orientation. Polishing Bobs. No-Mess Polishing Bob Assortments for Hard Metals.
Keep multiple shapes, sizes, and grits on hand to polish hard metals without any messy compounds. These bobs come embedded with long-lasting diamond abrasive—the hardest we offer. They’re best for cutting into stainless steel, titanium, and other tough materials. Use them to polish small areas and hard-to-reach spots with a drill or grinder for bits and burs. Grit is approximate. Labels in the lid include our part numbers, so it's easy to replenish the assortments.
Wool Felt—Softer than rubber, these bobs better conform to your work surface and prevent gouging. They're the best choice for final finishing steps.

No-Mess Polishing Bob Assortments for Soft Metals and Nonmetals

Image of Product. Front orientation. Polishing Bobs. No-Mess Polishing Bob Assortments for Soft Metals and Nonmetals.
Keep multiple shapes, sizes, and grits on hand to polish soft materials without any messy compounds. These bobs are embedded with silicon carbide abrasive, which generates minimal heat to reduce material buildup. That makes them best for polishing soft materials prone to clogging, such as aluminum. All cut fast and with light pressure. Use them to polish small areas and hard-to-reach spots with a drill or grinder for bits and burs. Grit is approximate. Labels in the lid include our part numbers, so it's easy to replenish the assortments.

Use your reciprocating polisher to polish flat surfaces on any material. Made of felt, you can pair these versatile polishing bobs with the buffing compound or lapping paste of your choice to get the best results for your specific material. With a flat profile, they're good for polishing large surfaces as well as squeezing into straight, narrow spaces. They also have a beveled tip to polish on an angle.
Wool Felt—These bobs absorb and retain compounds better than synthetic felt bobs, so you don't need to reapply the compounds as often.
Medium—Balance removing material with leaving a smooth finish.
    Hard—For aggressive material removal.
