    Made-to-Order Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sleeve Bearings. Made-to-Order Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings.
Get the perfect fit with made-to-order sleeve bearings—just send us the dimensions. All are made from porous metal and saturated with oil to reduce maintenance and downtime. Although these bearings will work in most conditions, oil may drip away if temperatures get too high. All are fabricated, lubricated, and inspected in the U.S.
With no moving parts, sleeve bearings are the simplest way to support the load of a rotating shaft while reducing friction. Also known as plain bearings.
To Order: Please specify ID, OD, and length. The difference between the ID and OD must be at least 0.0625" for inch sizes or 2 mm for metric.
841 Bearing Bronze—A classic choice for a starter pick. Also known as SAE 841 bearings.
High-Load 863 Iron Copper—Iron makes these bearings harder, stronger, and more resistant to sudden starts and stops than 841 bearing bronze. However, they operate at slower speeds. The increased iron content makes these bearings appear silver.
Synthetic Oil Base—A high-quality lubricant makes all the difference. Synthetic oil is less sensitive to temperature changes than mineral oil, so it won't get runny and leak away at higher temperatures.

    Made-to-Order Clamping Rigid Shaft Couplings

When you need a strong hold and even grip on shafts that are oversized due to finishes, undersized from wear, or uncommonly sized, we’ll make a coupling for you that fits just right. Tell us your shaft diameters to the nearest 0.001” or 0.1 mm.
These couplings clamp around your shafts to prevent marring them. But, you need access to the end of each shaft to slide them into place. Because they’re rigid, they don’t allow movement between shafts, making them good for high-torque jobs. This also means your shafts must align to connect.

    Made-to-Order Two-Piece Rigid Shaft Couplings

For hard-to-access shafts that are oversized from coatings or undersized from wear, we’ll get you a coupling in the right size that clamps on as two pieces, so you don’t need to move your shafts or installed components. Let us know your shaft diameter to the nearest 0.001” or 0.1 mm. These couplings are rigid, making them good for high-torque applications. However, your shafts must be aligned.
