Ceramic Fiber Thermal Insulation Sheets for Furnaces

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thermal Insulation Sheets. Ceramic Fiber Thermal Insulation Sheets for Furnaces.
The most common of our flexible high-temperature sheets, these are used to insulate furnaces. They also can be fabricated into gaskets. Insulation performs best at temperatures above 1,000° F.
Without Binder—Sheets without binder don’t have a binder that can burn when installed, so they won’t produce a strong odor. They’re often used to vacuum heat treat furnaces. However, they’re weaker and more brittle than sheets with a binder.
With Binder—Sheets with binder are stronger in structure, easier to cut, and more pliable than those without a binder. The binder will burn out at 350° and release gas with a strong odor, so only use them in applications where burnout is not an issue.

Shock-Resistant Ceramic Fiber Thermal Insulation Sheets for Furnaces

Designed for fluctuating, high-temperature applications, these semi-rigid sheets are typically used in furnaces and fire protection applications. They experience very little shrinkage at high temperatures, but the brittle material can be somewhat difficult to work with. Insulation is flame resistant, meeting ASTM E84 0/0 for flame and smoke. It performs best at temperatures above 1,000° F.
    18 lb/ft³ Density
Image of Product. Front orientation. Thermal Insulation Sheets. Shock-Resistant Ceramic Fiber Thermal Insulation Sheets for Furnaces.
With Binder—Sheet with binder is easier to handle at room temperature than sheet without a binder, but it contains a small amount of organic material that burns off and releases smoke at around 400° F.
Without Binder—Sheet without binder won't produce smoke when heated.

Rigid Silica High-Efficiency Thermal Insulation Sheets for Furnaces

Image of Product. Front orientation. Thermal Insulation Sheets. Rigid Silica High-Efficiency Thermal Insulation Sheets for Furnaces.
Typically used in ovens and furnaces, these are the most efficient of our rigid high-temperature insulation sheets. Please note that they require special care when installing since the crumbly material is difficult to work with and will crack easily. Sheets lose strength over time and are intended to be installed behind another facing or insulation material. They resist damage from fire and moisture. Insulation performs best at temperatures above 1,000° F.
