    Nonsparking Sledge Hammers

The faces and head are made of aluminum-bronze that is Factory Mutual approved, so these tools inhibit sparking and are nonmagnetic and corrosion resistant. They satisfy OSHA requirements that specify nonsparking tools for locations where flammable vapors and combustible residues are present. Use them to demolish material, form metal, and drive punches, chisels, and masonry drills. For demolition work, ensure that the workpiece is softer than the metal faces. Longer and heavier hammers deliver greater impact. All have a textured or ribbed grip for slip resistance. For replacement handles, see Fiberglass Hammer Handles.
Warning: Do not use these tools in direct contact with acetylene.

    Milwaukee Cordless Hammer Drills

Image of Product. Front orientation. Drills. Milwaukee Cordless Hammer Drills.
Just twist the collar ring and these tools will change from a standard cordless drill to a hammer drill.
The rotary-only mode is for general purpose drilling and driving fasteners. Use this mode with standard drill bits for wood and metal as well as masonry drill bits. In rotary-percussion mode, the tool provides both a rotary drilling and hammering action. The hammering action pounds concrete and masonry, which breaks up the material while it drills. Use this mode for drilling masonry materials using carbide-tipped masonry drill bits.
This drill has a variable speed motor—the further you depress the trigger, the faster the drill rotates. They also have an adjustable clutch that lets you adjust the torque.
See Batteries and Chargers for Milwaukee Cordless Tools for replacement batteries and chargers.
Keyless Chuck—Drills with keyless chuck open and close without a key for fast bit changes.

    Slide Sledge Hammers

Strike work in tight spaces where standard hammers don't have room to swing. The steel face on these hammers is hard enough to demolish material and drive pins, punches, and masonry drills. To use, pull back the slide bar and forcefully push the bar forward into the hammer's steel chamber. This drives the face into the workpiece for a powerful strike. All have a ribbed grip for slip resistance.

Use the rotary-only mode for general purpose drilling and driving fasteners (requires a chuck adapter or a magnetic bit holder). In rotary-percussion mode, the tool provides both a rotary drilling and hammering action. In the percussion-only mode, the tool provides only the hammering action. Use this mode when working with chisels and other masonry tools (see Chisels for Rotary Hammers). All have a variable speed motor—the further you depress the trigger, the faster the drill rotates.
For Spline Bit Shanks—Designed to drill larger holes than a SDS-Plus hammer, these models use spline-shank drill bits (see Spline-Shank Masonry Drill Bits and Spline-Shank Masonry Core Drill Bits). A powerful and durable hammer mechanism lets you drill deeper, larger holes in masonry and concrete in less time than with hammer drills.
For SDS-Plus Bit Shanks—Also known as SDS-Drive rotary hammers, these are lightweight and ideal for overhead work and drilling smaller holes. A powerful and durable hammer mechanism lets you drill deeper, larger holes in masonry and concrete in less time than with hammer drills. Use with SDS-Plus drill bits. Note: SDS-Plus and SDS-Max bits are not interchangeable.
For SDS-Max Bit Shanks—A deeper drive system minimizes wobble for straighter, more accurate holes and better overall performance to other rotary hammers. A powerful and durable hammer mechanism lets you drill deeper, larger holes in masonry and concrete in less time than with hammer drills. Use with SDS-Max drill bits (see SDS-Max-Shank Masonry Drill Bits and SDS-Max-Shank Core Drill Bits). Note: SDS-Plus and SDS-Max bits are not interchangeable.
12 Chisel Lock Positions and 36 Chisel Lock Positions—A chisel lock allows you to choose from 12 or 36 chisel positions to match the angle of many surfaces.
Model Number RH1255VC—Model number RH1255VC provides smooth starts and won't slow down as you drill deeper.
Built-In Safety Clutch—A built-in safety clutch protects you and the hammer if the bit gets stuck in your material.
Vibration Reduction—These rotary hammers have a vibration reduction system for increased user comfort, provides smooth starts, and won't slow down as you drill deeper.

    DeWalt Cordless Hammer Drills

Image of Product. Front orientation. Drills. DeWalt Cordless Hammer Drills.
Just twist the collar ring and this tool will change from a standard cordless drill to a hammer drill.
The adjustable clutch lets you adjust the torque.
See Batteries and Chargers for DeWalt Cordless Tools for replacement batteries and chargers.
Keyless Chuck—Drills with keyless chuck open and close without a key for fast bit changes.

    DeWalt Cordless Rotary Hammers

Image of Product. Front orientation. Drills. DeWalt Cordless Rotary Hammers.
A powerful and durable hammer mechanism lets you drill deeper, larger holes in masonry and concrete in less time than with cordless hammer drills.
In rotary-percussion mode, the tool provides both a rotary drilling and hammering action. Use SDS-Plus shank drill bits for fast penetration into masonry materials. Note: SDS-Plus and SDS-Max bits are not interchangeable. Use the rotary-only mode for general purpose drilling and driving fasteners (requires a chuck adapter or a magnetic bit holder). In the percussion-only mode, the tool provides only the hammering action. Use this mode when working with chisels and other masonry tools (see Chisels for Rotary Hammers).
