Disposable Liquid Samplers

Insert the Style A samplers into your liquid and seal the top opening with your thumb to collect a sample.
The syringe-like design of the Style B samplers lets you extract liquid without manually creating a vacuum.
Style C sampler bottles have a leakproof lid, so they’re good for shipping and storing small samples. After you collect the sample and remove the needle, their membrane automatically seals. They come with a tamper seal label to put over the lid, showing if the bottle is ever opened. They're also phthalate-free.

Liquid Samplers

Plastic

Steel with
Pull Ring
Collect liquid samples from drums, tanks, and other containers. These samplers open and close, so you can gather samples at a targeted depth in your tank. All are autoclavable, so you can sterilize them with steam.
Polypropylene samplers have good chemical resistance. They operate with a valve you can open and close.
PTFE samplers stand up to harsher chemicals than polypropylene samplers. Their naturally slippery surface helps thick liquids slide off for easy cleanup. You can use them one-handed—press the button to let liquid flow in, then release it to close.
Stainless steel samplers are the most durable and chemical resistant. They also resist corrosion. Less porous and less likely to scratch than plastic, they’re easy to sanitize. Open and close them by pulling up on the center ring.

Liquid Samplers for Extra-Large Tanks

Lower these samplers with a chain or cable to collect samples from the bottom of large tanks. Also known as bomb samplers, they open automatically when they touch the bottom of the tank or they can be opened manually with a pull line.
Large-Capacity Sterile Disposable Liquid Samplers

Sterilized so they won’t contaminate your samples or lines, these liquid samplers are often used in food processing, pharmaceutical, and biotech applications. Unlike traditional sampling methods such as ladles and cups, they don’t expose samples to the surrounding environment. These samplers use gravity to draw out liquid through the needle directly into the bag. The needle has a luer lock connection, so it’s easy to remove the needle after you take the sample. You can also swap the needle out beforehand if your application needs a different kind.
These bags are best for taking large samples. They’re ISO 10993 compliant, so they’re approved for use in medical devices. They meet USP Class VI, meaning they’re made of plastic that’s been tested to the highest standards to reduce the risk of leaching into biological samples. Manufactured free of contaminants and allergens, they are BPA- and latex-free. They’re also TSE/BSE compliant, so they’ve never come into contact with any animal products.
These liquid samplers are typically used with sampling tube fittings.

Vacuum Samplers for Liquids

Pump the handle to draw liquid out of a tank or drum through a hose into sample bottles. Only the hose and hose weight come into contact with the liquid, reducing the possibility of cross contamination.

Sludge Samplers

Closed
with Sample

Collect and measure buildup from the bottom of oil tanks, septic tanks, wastewater lagoons, and other areas. Unlike other samplers that only hold liquids, these samplers can draw in solids, too. They help you monitor sludge, which is important for maintaining healthy heating systems and meeting environmental regulations for sewage. Not for use with ethanol or ethanol-blended fuel.
Made of a strong plastic, these samplers are rigid enough to push through tough layers of sludge to collect a complete sample. A valve lets in liquids and solids, then blocks them from going out. Samplers are clear and marked with 1-ft. graduations, so you can view and measure what’s inside. Press down on the valve pin to empty.
These samplers consist of three hollow 5-ft. tubes. Screw together as many as you need to match the depth of your tank. Since they’re detachable, they’re easy to transport. Add extensions (sold separately) to make samplers longer.
Design-Your-Own Long-Reach Dippers

Pick a handle, snap on a container, and you’re ready to scoop samples. These dippers have a telescoping handle, so you can reach vats, tanks, and ponds from feet away. Made of aluminum, the handle is lightweight and resists corrosion.
Bottles come with a lid to seal your sample.
Beakers with a pour spout make it easy to transfer your sample.
Polypropylene containers are good for general use. They have a joint that pivots up to 90° to help you scoop and prevent your sample from spilling. Choose stainless steel containers for collecting hot or corrosive samples.
