    Smooth Jaw

    Serrated Jaw

Make one-handed cuts with these small cutters. Because they’re shorter than standard bolt cutters, they’re best for cutting thin bolts and wire. For more leverage, choose longer cutters. Not for use on wire rope.
All have jaws that are riveted onto the handles except cutters with aluminum handles. Riveted jaws are not replaceable.
Serrated Jaw—Serrated jaws grip the material you’re cutting to prevent slipping.
Stainless Steel Jaw—Cutters with stainless steel jaws and handles resist corrosion in wet and damp areas.
Aluminum Handle—Cutters with aluminum handles are 30% lighter than steel-handled cutters, so they’re more comfortable for repeated cuts. Their cutting head is replaceable, and they have an adjustment screw to align cutting edges.
Spring-Assisted Open—Spring-assisted cutters open automatically when you release the handles to help you make quick cuts.

An angled cutting head keeps handles up and out of the way for trimming bolts, chain, and wire against flat surfaces. Smaller than standard bolt cutters, these cutters can be used one-handed in tight spaces. They can also fit into tool pouches. However, they provide less leverage than larger cutters, so they’re best for slicing through thin bolts and wire. The jaws are riveted onto the handles and are not replaceable. Not for use on wire rope.

Keep a variety of small cutters on hand for cuts in tight spaces. The handles are short enough to make one-handed cuts, but they provide less leverage than standard cutters. They’re best for snipping thin bolts and wire. Use a longer cutter for more leverage. They have serrated jaws that grip the material you’re cutting and prevent it from slipping. Since the jaws are riveted onto the handles, you can’t replace them. Not for use on wire rope.

Tools with a plier nose are useful for pulling and looping wire.
Tools with a voltage detector safely test for AC voltage without contacting live wires. Light and sound indicators alert you when over 50 volts AC is detected. The detector is attached to the tool’s handle; remove it from the handle to use it on its own.

    Electrically-Insulating Electrical Wire Stripper/Crimpers

Insulated handles protect against shock from accidental contact with live electrical circuits while stripping wire or crimping connectors. These tools are tested to 1,000 volts to meet IEC 60900 and ASTM F1505. The plier nose is useful for pulling and looping wire.
