    Cycling Air Dryers

Remove bulk water vapor from your compressed air line by refrigerating the air. These dryers have a timer-activated drain valve that opens automatically to discharge condensate. Install them in your air line after the compressor and separator.
Noncycling—Noncycling dryers run continuously to dry compressed air, so they’re best for applications with a constant need for dry air.
Cycling—Cycling dryers adjust their cooling level based on your compressed air system’s needs. While they require more maintenance than noncycling dryers, they’re more energy efficient. They’re best suited for applications with varying air demands.

Prevent damage to air-powered tools and equipment—these dryers remove water, compressor oil, and particles from your air supply. The dryer and oil filter share the same cartridge to save space and reduce downtime when changing them. No need to mess with desiccant beads. Install them after separators and aftercoolers, which remove the bulk of the moisture.
When selecting a dryer, keep in mind that the larger the desiccant capacity, the longer they last between cartridge changes.
Opaque Bowl with Sight Glass—Dryers with an opaque bowl have a sight glass, so you can monitor contents. Their twist-on design allows for fast, clean, tool-free maintenance.
Clear Bowl—Dryers with a clear bowl are visible from all angles. They have a silica gel desiccant that changes from blue to pink, making it easy to know when to replace the cartridge. Disassembly is required to access the desiccant.
Air Dryers/Filters/Regulators—Dryers with a regulator monitor and adjust the flow of air.
Shutoff Valve—Dryers with a shut-off valve stop airflow when not in use to extend the life of the desiccant.
Styles A-D—Styles A-D have a particle filter before the dryer to remove large particles and protect the desiccant to extend its useful life.
Style E—Style E filter fine particles in the same cartridge as the dryer and oil filter. Install them vertically in your compressed air line so any water vapor collecting drains properly.

Once aftercoolers and separators have removed the bulk of the water, use these dryers to remove any remaining moisture in your air line. To reuse saturated desiccant, heat it in an oven at its reactivation temperature—you'll know it's dry when the color changes. Install these dryers after an oil filter to protect the desiccant.

High-Capacity Refrigerant-Cooled Compressed Air Dryers with Filters for Particle Removal

Image of Product. Front orientation. Compressed Air Dryers. High-Capacity Refrigerant-Cooled Compressed Air Dryers with Filters for Particle Removal.
These all-in-one dryers with filters eliminate the need for individual dryers and filters. They cool air through refrigeration to condense water vapor for removal. Because they are noncycling and run continuously, they are best for applications that need constant dry air. A float-operated drain valve opens automatically when the bowl begins to fill. After water removal, a heat exchanger raises the outlet air temperature to prevent condensation on downstream piping. The built-in display lets you monitor and adjust the dew point of the compressed air. Be sure to install in your air line after the compressor and separator.

Prevent equipment damage caused by moisture. The first step in water removal, these separators remove the water that accumulates as compressed air cools. They have a float-operated drain valve that automatically opens when the bowl begins to fill. Install in your air line after compressors and aftercoolers.
Sight Glass—Separators with a sight glass allow you to see inside the bowl to monitor its contents.

Get dry compressed air in high-pressure systems—these dryers have a maximum pressure rating of 300 psi. Once aftercoolers and separators have removed the bulk of the water, they remove any remaining moisture in your air line. Install after an oil filter to protect the desiccant. They have a sight glass so you can see inside the bowl to monitor contents.
Desiccants—Desiccant (sold separately) is required to remove moisture from air. To reuse saturated desiccant, heat it at its reactivation temperature until it returns to its dry color.

For use with Norgren modular compressed air systems, once aftercoolers and separators have removed the bulk of the water, use one of these desiccant-filled dryers to remove any remaining moisture in your air line. Install after an oil filter to protect the desiccant. They have a clear bowl so you can see inside to monitor contents. To reuse saturated desiccant, heat it at its reactivation temperature until it returns to its dry color.
Joiner Clamps—Use a joiner clamp (sold separately) to connect your dryer to another Norgren modular component.
End Block Sets—End block sets (sold separately) allow you to swap out filter/regulator/lubricator components without unthreading your air line connections. The blocks remain connected to your pipe while you replace components between them.

    Compressed Air Condensate Separators

Image of Product. Front orientation. Compressed Air Condensate Separators. Compressed Air Condensate Separators.
Let these separators handle the dirty work of condensate disposal. When water condenses in a compressed air system, it picks up oil from the compressor, making disposal a challenge. These separators use two-stage filtration to cut oil content to under five parts per million. The primary filter clears out dirt, sludge, and most of the oil. The secondary filter handles the rest—including synthetic lubricants that other systems struggle with. A service sticker shows when it’s time to replace the filters. Check local codes for disposal requirements.
A sampling port lets you test water without disconnecting outlet piping. Connect up to four compressed air components—such as aftercoolers, separators, or drain valves—to the four inlets.
Replacement Kits—Replacement kits include both filter bags and a fresh service sticker.

Chemical-Resistant Desiccant Compressed Air Dryers with Filters for Oil and Particle Removal

With a polyurethane bowl and housing, these dryers resist synthetic compressor lubricants, solvents, acids, and other chemicals in your compressed air line. They have a clear bowl so you can monitor contents and the desiccant, which changes color when it needs to be replaced. These dryers use clay desiccant to remove moisture, oil, and particles—no need for a separate filter and dryer. Place them down the line from aftercoolers and separators, which remove most of the water first.

Maintenance-Free Membrane Compressed Air Dryers with Filters for Oil and Particle Removal

Dry air without hassle—there’s no desiccant to change out with these dryers. They remove vapor from compressed air lines by collecting it in a membrane. A small stream is diverted from the incoming compressed air to release the collected vapor from the membrane. Use them in applications where water vapor can damage tools, such as painting and welding. All come with a built-in oil and particle filter to catch contaminants for a compact design. Install these air dryers after aftercoolers and separators.

    SMC Modular Compressed Air Separators

Keep moisture from damaging your equipment. These separators remove the water that accumulates in your line as compressed air cools. They connect to other SMC units of the same series with joiner clamps (sold separately), even if the pipe sizes differ slightly, so you can customize your air preparation system. They have a float-operated drain valve that automatically opens when the bowl begins to fill. Install them in your air line after compressors and aftercoolers.

In addition to removing large amounts of water, these separators also remove particles and oil droplets. Place them after your compressor and aftercooler, or at the point of use in applications that don't require an aftercooler. They have an automatic drain to discharge the moisture.

Portable Compressed Air Storage Tanks with Filter/Dryer

Image of Product. Front orientation. Compressed Air Storage Tanks. Portable Compressed Air Storage Tanks with Filter/Dryer.
Get clean, dry air wherever you need it. The separator, filter, and dryer mounted on these tanks clean and dry compressed air as you fill it. Once full, move the tank to your workspace on its pneumatic wheels.
Connect your compressor to the separator on the side of the tank. It removes any liquid water from your compressed air to protect the filter, which removes oil and particles. Filtered air passes through the desiccant dryer and into the tank. The dryer can be used continuously without having to dry or replace the desiccant. It can be removed once the tank is full for more portability.
Replace the filter element every six months.
Service Kits—Service kits include a filter element, O-rings, and everything else you need to service the filter.
