Designed to give screw heads a slightly loose fit, these counterbores are a bit wider than standard sizes. The extra clearance prevents binding and leaves room for a seal or O-ring around the screw head.

Trade your drill for an impact wrench to countersink faster. Made with an oversized shank and hardened high-speed steel, these countersinks are built to handle the high torque of your impact wrench. This means they cut material faster than a power drill without snapping, even when making large holes in hard metals. Since your wrench absorbs kickback, it won’t fight you when a cutting tool snags, reducing wrist strain and fatigue over long jobs. Choose an 82° countersink angle for inch screws and a 90° countersink angle for metric screws.

You’ll need a VersaDrive chuck (sold separately) to install these countersinks into your impact wrench. You can also get chucks for impact drivers and magnetic-base drills (both sold separately). For jobs that don’t require the torque of an impact tool, you can fit these countersinks directly into a _1/2" chuck on a standard power drill.
