Disposable Shoe and Boot Covers

These covers are lightweight and protect shoes and boots from dirt, grime, and liquid splashes.

Shoe Covers

Polyethylene—Use polyethylene covers around food processing plants while reducing the risk of contaminating the food. To help you comply with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs, these covers contain metal additives that will set off metal detectors if they—or any piece of them—fall into your line. They’re also light blue, making them easier to spot than other white or gray covers. These covers are FDA compliant for direct contact with food.

Polyethylene/Tyvek Fabric—Polyethylene/Tyvek provides better tear and abrasion resistance than polypropylene and polyethylene. It holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. It is made of heat- and pressure-bonded fibers for a material that’s soft yet strong.

Kleenguard Polypropylene Fabric—Kleenguard polypropylene is made of five layers of nonwoven fabric, so it is more abrasion resistant and harder to tear than polyethylene/Tyvek fabric. It holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. The material is antistatic, so it protects sensitive equipment from electrostatic discharge.

ComforMax/Polyester Fabric—ComforMax/polyester covers are made of a specially treated wood pulp and fabric blend material that repels liquids, including blood and other bodily fluids. They resist tearing and offer some breathability.

Elastic Closure—These covers have an elastic band that keeps them in place once they’re on.

Skid-Resistant Sole—Covers with a skid-resistant sole grip wet and slippery surfaces for good traction.

Polypropylene Fabric—Polypropylene offers economical protection in environments where liquid splashes and abrasion resistance are not a concern.

Polyethylene—Polyethylene is made of FDA listed materials, so it’s often used in food preparation. It resists light liquid splashes.

Latex—Latex is a thick, sturdy rubber that holds its form better than fabric and plastic boot covers. It resists liquid splashes.

Elastic Closure—These covers have an elastic band that keeps them in place once they’re on.

Polyester Fabric—Polyester covers resist abrasion and splashing liquid; they’ll last longer than polyethylene/Tyvek covers. These covers must be cleaned prior to first use, and are reusable for up to 100 washes when laundered to clean room standards. They have a hard rubber sole, so they can be worn without shoes.

Dispensers for Disposable Plastic Film Shoe and Boot Covers

Step into the dispenser and this plastic film clings to the bottom of your shoes and boots, so you don’t track dirt into your home or worksite. As you pull your foot out, cut the film from its roll on the serrated blade like you would with regular plastic wrap—you never touch any part with your hands, or even bend down. For moving the dispenser safely, the blade is retractable. These plastic film covers are durable enough that they won’t tear easily when you walk, but thin enough to apply multiple layers if you need extra protection or to cover film that’s dirty. Use them with any shoe size.

One roll of 1-mil. thick plastic film and one refillable plastic dispenser are included. Use 2-mil. thick film (sold separately) for extra strength and tear resistance.
