    Shock-Absorbing Wear-Resistant Rope—Not for Lifting

    A braided nylon core protected by a braided cover makes this rope resistant to both wear and sudden forces, such as those found in towing applications and dock lines. The braided construction also prevents the rope from rotating under load. When wet, this rope can lose up to 20% of its strength. It resists rot.
    Note: The safety factor for capacity is 12:1.
    Nylon Cover—Nylon-covered rope resists mildew.
    Polyester Plastic Cover—Polyester plastic-covered rope resists UV rays, oil, and gas.
    Polyurethane-Coated Polyester Plastic Cover—Polyurethane-coated rope is good for high-friction applications since its coating gives it increased wear resistance.
