Folding Guards for Dock Doors

Adjustable-Size Plastic Column Guards

Shield columns with irregular dimensions, non-standard shapes, and attached pipe or conduit that standard guards can’t fit. These modular guards have four interlocking sides that wrap around the column and provide 4" of adjustment in width or depth to fit a wide range of column sizes. They flex and rebound on impact to absorb energy and minimize damage to both the column and vehicle during a collision.

Add extension kits for larger columns. Kits include two pieces, each adding 10" to the width or depth. Use multiple kits to fit any column size in your facility.

Build-Your-Own Heavy Duty Foam Tubing Guards

Up to twice as thick as our standard tubing guards, these guards offer excellent cushioning and hold up to heavy impacts and abrasion. Mix and match elbow and straight guards to cover scaffolding on oil rigs, lifts in airplane hangars, and exposed pipes in factories. Their sealed outer surface resists chemicals, jet fuel, hydraulic fluid, and weather without cracking or soaking through. They’re bright yellow for visibility in busy areas.

Foam Column Guards

Like gym mats, these guards have a foam core that compresses to soften minor bumps and scrapes. They’re slimmer than plastic guards, so they fit into tight aisles and other narrow spaces. However, they don’t offer as much protection from direct forklift hits as plastic and steel guards. Their bright yellow color makes them easy to spot. Secure them in place with a hook and loop strip along the side.

Foam I-Beam Guards

Shield exposed I-beams against minor bumps and scrapes from carts and foot traffic. These guards have a thick foam core that absorbs impact similar to a gym mat. Their vinyl cover resists moisture, chemicals, and abrasion. Bright yellow in color, these guards are easy to spot in busy areas.

Mount them directly to the beam flange to save floor space and fit into tight spaces where wraparound guards can’t. They fit snugly on their own, but can also be installed with hook and loop straps for extra hold. These guards can also be stacked.

Foam Tubing Guards

Cushion exposed pipes, tubing, and other cylindrical surfaces to protect both the surfaces and the people who bump into them. These guards reduce the risk of damage from impacts. They can be cut to size.

For Round Tubes

Light Duty Polyethylene Foam—Best for occasional bumps or temporary protection, these guards are made from rigid, low-density foam. They soften impacts, but they’ll crack, compress, and lose their shape with repeated blows. An outer skin protects them from moisture and UV rays.

Abrasion-Resistant Polyurethane Foam—Built for long-term use in busy areas, these guards keep their shape even after several collisions. They’re more flexible than polyethylene guards, and they hold up better to scrapes, scratches, and punctures.

Plain Back—Secure with zip ties, tape, or adhesive.

Adhesive Back—Peel and stick to any clean, smooth surface.

Plastic Column Guards

Protect columns and vehicles from collision damage. Made from polyethylene, these guards are durable yet forgiving—they flex and rebound to cushion blows. They’re tested to withstand everything from minor scrapes to direct forklift hits, so they hold up in high-traffic warehouses. A brightly colored surface makes them easy to spot.

Steel Column Guards

Create a rigid barrier around load-bearing columns and other critical structures. These guards mount to the floor, so the force of a collision won’t be transferred to your column. Made from steel, they’re strong enough to stop a moving forklift. However, they don’t flex on impact like plastic or foam guards, so they may damage your vehicle. Their bright color helps drivers spot them before they get too close.

Mount these guards to the floor with wedge anchors or other concrete anchors.
