    Carbide Drill Bit Sets

The hardest and most wear-resistant drill bits you can buy. Carbide bits stay sharp at high temperatures and faster speeds for the best performance on hard and difficult-to-machine materials. They last 10 to 20 times longer than their closest alternative, cobalt steel. Carbide can be brittle, however, so these bits require a rigid machine tool holder to prevent breakage and should not be used in hand drilling applications.

These bits have the balance of rigidity and length needed for most applications.
Aluminum Titanium Nitride (AlTiN) Coated—The hardest and most wear-resistant coating, especially at high temperatures. These bits are best for hard and abrasive materials, such as iron and titanium.
Uncoated—Excellent for a range of materials but won't last as long as coated bits.

Carbide-Tipped Drill Bit Sets for Masonry and Concrete

Crush rather than cut material so bits don’t jam or overheat while drilling masonry and concrete. The ultra-hard carbide tip breaks masonry into pieces and the widely spaced flutes channel them out of the hole. These bits stay sharp, resisting wear and heat that will dull or break other bits.

    Carbide-Tipped Drill Bit Sets

Performance similar to solid carbide but at a lower price point. Like carbide bits, these are stronger than cobalt and high-speed steel and maintain their sharp edges when drilling abrasive material. However, when drilling tough metals like iron and hardened steel, upgrade to carbide for longer life.

    Expanded-Shank Carbide Drill Bit Sets

All of the bits in these sets have the same shank diameter, so you can quickly change sizes without swapping out the collet on your tool. Because of their small size, they are often used for drilling holes in circuit boards. Carbide bits are the the hardest and most wear resistant. They stay sharp at high temperatures and faster speeds for the best performance on hard and difficult-to-machine materials. Carbide can be brittle, however, so bits require a rigid machine tool holder to prevent breakage and should not be used in hand drilling applications.

Chip-Clearing Carbide-Tipped Drill Bit Sets for Masonry and Concrete

Prevent frequent stops to clear bits and reduce heat buildup that can damage them. The tight spiral flutes lift dust and debris out of the hole more quickly than standard masonry bits. These bits are especially effective for brittle material that creates a lot of debris, such as block and brick. The carbide tip resists wear to stay sharp.

    Drill/Mill Cut

    Style

These multifunction tools have a 90° pointed tip that allows them to be used for drilling as well as for slotting, profiling, and chamfering cuts. Made of solid carbide, they're harder, stronger, and more wear resistant than high-speed steel for the longest life and best finish on hard material. Their extreme hardness means they are brittle, so a highly rigid setup, such as a CNC machine, is necessary to prevent the end mill from breaking. All are center cutting, allowing plunge cuts into a surface.

    Center Drill Sets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Center Drills. Center Drill Sets.
A variety of sizes to create precisely centered holes that mate with lathe centers or to drill and countersink in a single step to install fasteners.
Carbide—The hardest and most wear-resistant center drills you can buy. They stay sharp at high temperatures and faster speeds for the best performance on hard and difficult-to-machine materials. They last 10 to 20 times longer than their closest alternative, cobalt steel. Carbide can be brittle, however, so use a rigid machine tool holder to prevent breakage.
60° Countersink Angle—The most common center drill angle. The short and sturdy tip starts holes that perfectly match lathe centers.
82° Countersink Angle—Start a hole with cone-shaped recesses so inch screws sit flush with the surface.
90° Countersink Angle—Start a hole with cone-shaped recesses so metric screws sit flush with the surface.
Uncoated—Suitable for most tasks, but won't last as long as coated center drills.
Titanium Carbon Nitride (TiCN) Coated—The smooth finish reduces friction, so gummy materials such as aluminum are less likely to stick and build up. The coating also makes these center drills harder than uncoated center drills for greater wear resistance.
Titanium Aluminum Nitride (TiAlN) Coated—For even greater wear resistance at high temperatures than uncoated carbide, the coating on these center drills lets you cut through iron, titanium, and other metals up to Rockwell C50.
Aluminum Titanium Nitride (AlTiN) Coated—The hardest and most wear-resistant coating we offer. These center drills cut through metals as hard as Rockwell C70 without losing their sharp cutting edges.

    Carbide Square End Mill Sets

Image of Product. Front orientation. End Mills. Carbide Square End Mill Sets.
Made of solid carbide, the end mills in these sets are harder, stronger, and more wear resistant than high-speed steel for the longest life and best finish on hard material. Their extreme hardness means they are brittle, so a highly rigid setup, such as a CNC machine, is necessary to prevent the end mill from breaking. They have a square end for milling square slots, pockets, and edges. All are center cutting, allowing plunge cuts into a surface.
Uncoated Carbide—Use uncoated end mills for general purpose milling and short production runs.
Titanium Nitride (TiN)-Coated Carbide—Titanium nitride (TiN)-coated end mills create less friction than uncoated end mills, which means they last longer when run at similar speeds. Use coated end mills for demanding, high-speed jobs in hard material as well as for longer production runs. They’re more wear resistant than uncoated end mills.
Titanium Carbon Nitride (TiCN)-Coated Carbide—Titanium carbon nitride (TiCN)-coated end mills have a hard, smooth finish that resists chipping and wear and prevents material from accumulating on the cutting edge. They’re especially good for use in aluminum. Use coated end mills for demanding, high-speed jobs in hard material as well as for longer production runs. They’re more wear resistant than uncoated end mills.
Titanium Aluminum Nitride (TiAlN)-Coated Carbide—Titanium aluminum nitride (TiAIN)-coated end mills dissipate heat better than other end mills, especially at high speeds. At high temperatures, the coating creates a layer of aluminum oxide that transfers heat to the chips, keeping the tool cool, even when used without lubrication. Use coated end mills for demanding, high-speed jobs in hard material as well as for longer production runs. They’re more wear resistant than uncoated end mills.
2 Flutes—End mills with two flutes provide better chip clearance for high-volume, high-speed plunge, slotting, and roughing cuts.
4 Flutes—End mills with four flutes provide a finer finish and operate with less vibration when run at high speeds.

    Countersink Sets for Screws

Image of Product. Front orientation. Countersinks. Countersink Sets for Screws.
Cut cone-shaped recesses for screws of various diameters so the screw head sit flush with the surface. Choose an 82° countersink angle for inch screws or a 90° countersink angle for metric screws.
Carbide—The hardest and most wear-resistant countersinks you can buy. They stay sharp at high temperatures and faster speeds for the best performance on hard and difficult-to-machine materials. They last 10 to 20 times longer than their closest alternative, cobalt steel. Carbide can be brittle, however, so use a rigid machine tool holder to prevent breakage.
Titanium Carbon Nitride (TiCN) Coated—The smooth finish reduces friction, so gummy materials such as aluminum are less likely to stick and build up. The coating also makes these countersinks harder than uncoated countersinks for greater wear resistance.
Titanium Aluminum Nitride (TiAlN) Coated—For even greater wear resistance at high temperatures than uncoated countersinks, the coating on these countersinks lets you cut through iron, titanium, and other metals as hard as Rockwell C50.
Aluminum Titanium Nitride (AlTiN) Coated—Our hardest and most wear-resistant coating. These countersinks cut through hardened steel and other metals up to Rockwell C70 without losing their sharp cutting edges.
Number of Flutes—Countersinks with fewer flutes are best for aggressive cutting. They leave more room for chips to clear, reducing friction and heat. Countersinks with more flutes spread the cut across more edges for better stability, a smoother finish, and longer tool life.

Image of Product. Front orientation. End Mills. Carbide Ball End Mill Sets with Two Milling Ends.
Offering two times the life of a standard carbide end mill, the end mills in these sets have two milling ends so you can switch to the opposite end when one end wears out. Made of solid carbide, they're harder, stronger, and more wear resistant than high-speed steel for the longest life and best finish on hard material. Their extreme hardness means they are brittle, so a highly rigid setup, such as a CNC machine, is necessary to prevent the end mill from breaking. They have a ball end for milling rounded slots, slopes, and contours.

Impact Wrench Tap, Drill Bit, and Reamer Sets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Tap, Drill Bit, and Reamer Sets. Impact Wrench Tap, Drill Bit, and Reamer Sets, 28 Pieces.

    28 Pieces

With everything but the impact wrench, these sets are the fastest way to prepare holes with a hand tool. They include a selection of cutting tools and a chuck that lets you swap them in and out of your impact wrench. Made with hardened steel, the cutting tools are built to handle the high torque of the wrench without snapping, even in hard metals. This also means the bits cut holes two times faster than with a power drill, and the taps thread holes 15 times faster than with a tap wrench. The rapid hammering breaks and clears chips as you work to prevent jams. Since your wrench absorbs kickback, it won’t fight you if a cutting tool snags, reducing wrist strain and fatigue over long jobs.
The chucks hold any tool with a VersaDrive hex shank—including countersinks and extractors—so just one chuck and wrench handle any cutting task.
28 Pieces—Includes drill bits, taps, and step reamers plus reamers for hole alignment, drill taps, and hollow core cutters to further speed up your jobs. Use the drill taps to cut threaded holes in one smooth, continuous pass. The reamers enlarge holes and correct misalignment or overlap. The hollow-core cutters attach directly to your power drill, so you can form burr-free holes without a magnetic-base drill. Unlike drill bits, they cut only on the periphery of the hole and produce a solid slug, so they’re faster and leave a smoother edge. Two additional chucks let you use all these cutting tools with an impact driver and magnetic-base drill, too.

    Countersink Sets for Lathe Centers

Cut holes for a range of lathe-center diameters. The 60° angle creates a precise recess for both rotating and stationary lathe centers, keeping your workpiece aligned as it spins.
Number of Flutes—Countersinks with fewer flutes are best for aggressive cutting. They leave more room for chips to clear, reducing friction and heat. Countersinks with more flutes spread the cut across more edges for better stability, a smoother finish, and longer tool life.

Cut burr-free holes of many sizes in remote areas and other places where you can’t set up your magnetic-base drill. These cutters slip into the 1/2" chuck on your power drill. Unlike drill bits, they cut only on the periphery of the hole and produce a solid slug, so they’re faster and leave a smoother edge. There’s also no need to drill a pilot hole first—the built-in pilot drill centers the hole before the cutter engages. Also known as annular cutters.
Carbide-Tipped High-Speed Steel—The carbide tip helps these cutters maintain their sharp edges over time. They hold up well for high volume work in hard-to-machine materials.

    Countersink Sets for Rivets

Cut cone-shaped recesses for rivets of various diameters so the head sits flush with the surface.
