1/2" Diameter Reduced-Shank Drill Bits

The shank has a smaller diameter than the tip, allowing you to drill large holes with machines that have small-capacity chucks. Also known as Silver and Deming bits, they have a 1/2” diameter shank.
Drill bits with flats on shank have three flat sides to prevent the bit from slipping in the drill chuck.
For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.
Carbide-Tipped 1/2" Diameter Reduced-Shank Drill Bits

More wear resistant than cobalt steel and high-speed steel, these carbide-tipped bits maintain a sharper, harder edge at high temperatures. The shank has a smaller diameter than the tip, allowing you to drill large holes with machines that have small-capacity chucks. Also known as Silver and Deming bits, they have a 1/2” diameter shank.

Round- and Hex-Shank Masonry Drill Bits for Rotary-Only Drilling

Instead of using a hammering action to break up masonry material, these bits drill with rotary action only, requiring more pressure to grind up material. Use with handheld power drills, drill presses, and in hammer drills set to rotary-only mode. Do not use in hammering applications.
When using bits with a maximum drilling depth of 10 1/2” or greater, take the bit out of the hole every 4” and remove debris before drilling deeper to achieve maximum drilling depth.

Fast-Cutting Smooth-Finish Drill Bits for Wood

Multiple outlining teeth bore clean, flat-bottom holes without chipping or splintering your surface—even when cutting across the grain. These bits are excellent for boring straight holes, overlapping holes, and holes on close centers in soft wood, veneer, and laminates. The center guide point prevents the bit from wandering. Also known as multispur bits or Forstner bits.

Replaceable Carbide-Insert Drill Bits
Use these bits to drill a large number of holes with high precision. When the cutting edges dull, replace the carbide inserts (sold separately) instead of the entire bit. Each drill bit requires two inserts—one on the inner cutting edge and one on the outer cutting edge. Bits can be used in CNC machines with coolant-through technology; holes in the bit allow coolant to be channeled through the tool for more efficient chip evacuation.
