Removable Drill Bushing Sleeves

Avoid wear caused by repeatedly pressing bushings into your jig fixture. Instead, press fit these sleeves into the fixture one time, and then swap bushings with different IDs in and out to change the size of your bit. Also known as type L headless liner bushings, they're sized for use with removable drill bushings (sometimes called slip-fixed and renewable bushings). Made of hardened steel, they won't wear as you slide the bushings in and out.

Removable Drill Bushing Sleeves with Head
 |
Use these sleeves to create a permanent base for bushings, so you can swap sizes or replace worn bushings without damaging your jig. Also known as headed liner or HL bushings, they have a flanged head that stops them from pushing through the jig when you drill. It also protects the surface of your jig from wear. Made of hardened steel, these sleeves hold their shape over time, even with heavy use. Pair them with removable bushings, also called slip-fixed and renewable bushings.

Multipurpose Low-Carbon Steel Round Tubes

Also known as mild steel, low-carbon steel is easy to machine, form, and weld. It's widely fabricated into parts that don’t require high strength, such as frames, supports, and conduit.
Stress-Relieved Heat Treatment—Tubes that are stress relieved minimize warping during machining.
DOM—DOM (drawn over mandrel) welded tubes are stronger than ERW (electric resistance welded) tubes.

Telescoping Delrin® Acetal Round Tubes

Telescoping tubes, also known as bushing stock, slide over rods and inside shafts to increase or decrease the diameter. Their precise sizing also allows ascending sizes to fit inside each other to increase the wall thickness.
Easy to machine to close tolerances, these dimensionally stable tubes resist expanding when exposed to heat and moisture. They have a naturally slippery surface along with excellent wear resistance. Use them to make precision gears, bushings, and bearings. Delrin® acetal resin, also known as acetal homopolymer, is stronger and stiffer than acetal copolymer.

One of the most corrosion-resistant bearing bronze alloys, 954 withstands everything from sea water to sulfuric acid. It's often turned into bearings and valve bodies for demanding environments such as salt mines. Also known as aluminum bronze. With a porous surface that releases oil over time, this bronze lubricates itself. Turn it into parts that you can't easily access to relubricate, such as bearings, well pumps, and turbine blades. The oil may burn away if temperatures climb too high, however. For extreme heat up to 700° F, consider graphite-embedded bearing bronze instead.
