Ceiling Tiles
High-density mineral fiber tiles have a thick coat of latex paint, making them durable enough to withstand bumps and scrapes. Melamine foam tiles are black on one side and white on the other.
Tiles with recessed edges are indented on all four edges so the installed tile face extends below the support framing.
Because of their scattered, non-directional pattern, fissured and fine fissured tiles can be installed in any direction. This reduces installation time and scrap material. Fine fissured tiles have a smoother appearance than regular fissured tiles because of their smaller crevices. Directional fissured tiles create a more uniform appearance than the fissured and fine fissured tiles.
Ceiling tiles that absorb 70% of sound are best for busy environments, since they reduce how far voices will carry in an open office. Ceiling tiles that absorb 80% of sound are best for noisy environments such as conference halls and performance spaces.

Easy-to-Clean Ceiling Tiles

Often used in food processing areas and lavatories, these washable tiles have a durable, water-repellent surface. Simply spray, wipe down, or fog them with disinfectant. They’ve been treated to resist bacteria and mold growth. All meet USDA/FSIS guidelines for use in food processing areas.
Drywall tiles are more economical than plastic and fiberglass tiles.
Plastic tiles are better in humid environments than drywall and fiberglass tiles.
Fiberglass tiles are thick, so they reduce noise better than drywall or plastic tiles. Because they absorb 95% of sound within a room, they’re ideal for use in healthcare facilities and other environments where noise control is crucial.

Gasketed Ceiling Tiles

Block air and dust from seeping through your drop ceiling grid to help improve air quality and maintain room temperature. These tiles have a gasket around the edge to seal out contaminants. Rated for Fed. Spec. Class 100 and ISO Class 5 clean rooms, they are often used in labs and healthcare facilities. They also absorb 80% of sound to keep workspaces quiet. Coated in thick latex paint, they stand up to bumps and scrapes.

Prevent your ceiling from sagging in high humidity conditions. Made from a blend of ceramic and mineral fiber, these tiles have excellent resistance to moisture, making them great for labs, food prep spaces, and even areas with standing water. They’re also treated to prevent the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew. A fine fissured texture gives these tiles a dotted, nondirectional pattern. Install them in any direction to help you cut down on installation time and scrap material.

Adhesive-Mount Ceiling Tiles

When you don’t have space for a drop ceiling, use these tiles to improve the aesthetics and acoustics of your room. Stick them directly to existing drywall, plaster, concrete, and corrugated metal using construction adhesive (sold separately). Because these tiles absorb 95% of sound, they’re often used in spaces where noise control is crucial, such as healthcare facilities. They are coated in latex paint to stand up to bumps and scrapes.

Sound Barrier Ceiling Tiles

Keep sounds in noisy spaces from traveling to quiet ones. With the highest Ceiling Attenuation Class (CAC) rating, these ceiling tiles block sound from entering or exiting a room. They also absorb 80% of the sound within a room, so they help keep workspaces quiet. Made of mineral fiber, they're durable enough to withstand bumps and scrapes. To prevent mold and mildew from growing, the surface is coated in latex paint.

Ceiling Tile Frames

Use these components to design your own frame to support ceiling tiles.
Steel frames are approved for use in UL fire-rated ceiling assemblies. Some also comply with ICC-ES standards for use in seismic-rated assemblies.
Aluminum frames are corrosion resistant and withstand higher humidity than steel.
Fiberglass-reinforced plastic frames are safe to use in food and dairy plants. Nonmagnetic, they’re also good to install in hospitals and labs that use MRI technology. These frames won’t conduct heat and electricity, unlike metal frames, reducing the risk of injury from electric hazards. All are approved for use in UL fire-rated ceiling assemblies. They also meet ICC-ES seismic standards. You can clean these frames with mild detergents—they won’t corrode.

Ceiling Tile Framing Covers

Instead of painting or replacing ceiling tile frames when they’re rusted and discolored, put these flexible PVC covers onto them for a clean appearance. They’re sized to fit most framing systems. If you’re using them with ceiling tiles with recessed edges, make sure the width of the covers will fit the recess.
Rated ASTM E84 Class A, their ability to limit the spread of flames and generation of smoke conforms to the highest classification. They also meet UL 94 V-0, which means they’ll self-extinguish within 10 seconds and won’t spread fire by dripping.
To cover your framing’s perimeter, use wall covers. They slide onto framing where the ceiling and wall meet.
To cover your framing’s interior grid, you may need both standard and tee covers. Standard covers have a notch in the middle that covers the seams where two tee covers meet. They’re compatible with both 2' × 2' and 2' × 4' ceiling tiles. When used with 2' × 4' tiles, install them on the 2' side. Tee covers run perpendicular to standard covers to create a tee.
For a proper fit, choose covers for 1" wd. framing if your current 15/16" wd. framing already has a thick coating of paint.

Ceiling Tile Clips
Secure ceiling tiles or join ceiling tile frame components.
Clips for ceiling tiles keep ceiling tiles in place. Those for 1/16"-5/8" ceiling tiles are best for entryways and other drafty areas.
Clips for ceiling tile frames join ceiling tile frames and molding. Cross clips connect cross tees to main beams. For those with a 1” notch depth, use cross-lock clips to secure them in place. Both clips help you comply with ICC-ES seismic requirements when fastened with pop rivets. Use cross clips with a 1 9/32” notch depth to install lights or vents to beams where there isn’t a notch. Straight clips attach two main beams. When installed with pop rivets, these clips help you meet ICC-ES seismic standards. Tee clips join molding to main beams and cross tees. Those for 9/16”-15/16” ceiling tile frames help you comply with ICC-ES seismic requirements when properly installed.
PVC plastic clips must be used with fiberglass-reinforced plastic ceiling tile frames and molding.

Ceiling Tile Wall Molding

Secure tile frames to the wall.
Aluminum molding is corrosion resistant and withstands higher humidity than steel.
Use fiberglass-reinforced plastic molding in food and dairy plants—paint free, it won’t blister or peel onto your product. Because it’s nonmagnetic, it’s also safe to install in hospitals and labs with MRI technology. Unlike metal molding, this molding won’t conduct heat and electricity, so it reduces the risk of injury from electric hazards. It complies with ICC-ES seismic standards when installed with pop rivets. It’s also approved for use in UL fire-rated ceiling assemblies. You can clean this molding with mild detergents and it won’t corrode.
