Once aftercoolers and separators have removed the bulk of the water, use these dryers to remove any remaining moisture in your air line. To reuse saturated desiccant, heat it in an oven at its reactivation temperature—you'll know it's dry when the color changes. Install these dryers after an oil filter to protect the desiccant.

Prevent damage to air-powered tools and equipment—these dryers remove water, compressor oil, and particles from your air supply. The dryer and oil filter share the same cartridge to save space and reduce downtime when changing them. No need to mess with desiccant beads. Install them after separators and aftercoolers, which remove the bulk of the moisture.
When selecting a dryer, keep in mind that the larger the desiccant capacity, the longer they last between cartridge changes.
Opaque Bowl with Sight Glass—Dryers with an opaque bowl have a sight glass, so you can monitor contents. Their twist-on design allows for fast, clean, tool-free maintenance.
Clear Bowl—Dryers with a clear bowl are visible from all angles. They have a silica gel desiccant that changes from blue to pink, making it easy to know when to replace the cartridge. Disassembly is required to access the desiccant.
Air Dryers/Filters/Regulators—Dryers with a regulator monitor and adjust the flow of air.
Shutoff Valve—Dryers with a shut-off valve stop airflow when not in use to extend the life of the desiccant.
Styles A-D—Styles A-D have a particle filter before the dryer to remove large particles and protect the desiccant to extend its useful life.
Style E—Style E filter fine particles in the same cartridge as the dryer and oil filter. Install them vertically in your compressed air line so any water vapor collecting drains properly.

    Air Dryers

    Cycling Air Dryers

Remove bulk water vapor from your compressed air line by refrigerating the air. These dryers have a timer-activated drain valve that opens automatically to discharge condensate. Install them in your air line after the compressor and separator.
Noncycling—Noncycling dryers run continuously to dry compressed air, so they’re best for applications with a constant need for dry air.
Cycling—Cycling dryers adjust their cooling level based on your compressed air system’s needs. While they require more maintenance than noncycling dryers, they’re more energy efficient. They’re best suited for applications with varying air demands.

Install these dryers just before air-powered tools as final protection from water and particles and throw them away when you’re done. They have a clear bowl so you can see inside to monitor the desiccant. When the desiccant becomes saturated, it changes color to indicate that the dryer should be changed.

    High-Pressure Desiccant Compressed Air Dryers

Image of Product. Front orientation. Compressed Air Dryers. High-Pressure Desiccant Compressed Air Dryers.
Get dry compressed air in high-pressure systems—these dryers have a maximum pressure rating of 300 psi. Once aftercoolers and separators have removed the bulk of the water, they remove any remaining moisture in your air line. Install after an oil filter to protect the desiccant. They have a sight glass so you can see inside the bowl to monitor contents.
Desiccants—Desiccant (sold separately) is required to remove moisture from air. To reuse saturated desiccant, heat it at its reactivation temperature until it returns to its dry color.

Remove water and compressor oil from your air line to prevent damage to air-powered tools and equipment. The dryer and filter share the same cartridge to save space and reduce downtime when changing them. Install them after separators and aftercoolers to remove the bulk of the moisture, and after a particle filter to protect the desiccant.
Opaque Bowl—Dryers with an opaque bowl have a twist-on design for fast, clean, tool-free maintenance.
Clear Bowl—Dryers with a clear bowl are visible from all angles. They have silica gel desiccant that changes from blue to pink, making it easy to know when to replace the cartridge. Disassembly is required to access the desiccant.

For an uninterrupted supply of clean, dry compressed air, these dryers have two desiccant towers. While desiccant in one tower absorbs moisture, the desiccant in the other is drying out, then they switch automatically. In addition to water, they also remove compressor oil and particles to extend their life and the components downstream from them. Install them after separators and aftercoolers, which remove the bulk of the moisture.
Style A—Style A are compact and quiet, making them ideal for point-of-use drying on shop floors. A display shows real-time drying data and alerts you for maintenance.
Style B—Style B have multiple inlets and outlets for mounting versatility—install them horizontally or vertically. They’re often used in industrial automation and manufacturing. Replacement service kits for Style B (sold separately) include desiccant cartridges, O-rings, and washers.
Style C—Style C stand up to tough outdoor and harsh conditions. Install them inline along your air line for a straight-through connection. Replacement service kits for Style C (sold separately) include filters, check valves, and purge valves.
Replacement Filter Elements—Replacement filter elements (sold separately) help remove oil and particles and extend equipment life.

High-Capacity Refrigerant-Cooled Compressed Air Dryers with Filters for Particle Removal

Image of Product. Front orientation. Compressed Air Dryers. High-Capacity Refrigerant-Cooled Compressed Air Dryers with Filters for Particle Removal.
These all-in-one dryers with filters eliminate the need for individual dryers and filters. They cool air through refrigeration to condense water vapor for removal. Because they are noncycling and run continuously, they are best for applications that need constant dry air. A float-operated drain valve opens automatically when the bowl begins to fill. After water removal, a heat exchanger raises the outlet air temperature to prevent condensation on downstream piping. The built-in display lets you monitor and adjust the dew point of the compressed air. Be sure to install in your air line after the compressor and separator.

    Replacements for Compressed Air Dryers

Chemical-Resistant Desiccant Compressed Air Dryers with Filters for Oil and Particle Removal

With a polyurethane bowl and housing, these dryers resist synthetic compressor lubricants, solvents, acids, and other chemicals in your compressed air line. They have a clear bowl so you can monitor contents and the desiccant, which changes color when it needs to be replaced. These dryers use clay desiccant to remove moisture, oil, and particles—no need for a separate filter and dryer. Place them down the line from aftercoolers and separators, which remove most of the water first.

Maintenance-Free Membrane Compressed Air Dryers with Filters for Oil and Particle Removal

Dry air without hassle—there’s no desiccant to change out with these dryers. They remove vapor from compressed air lines by collecting it in a membrane. A small stream is diverted from the incoming compressed air to release the collected vapor from the membrane. Use them in applications where water vapor can damage tools, such as painting and welding. All come with a built-in oil and particle filter to catch contaminants for a compact design. Install these air dryers after aftercoolers and separators.

Stored in a durable canister, these desiccants turn from blue to pink when they reach maximum moisture absorption.
Aluminum Canister—Aluminum canister has a monitoring window to check for desiccant color change.
Plastic Canister—Plastic canister is clear so you can see when the desiccant color changes. Desiccant can also be reactivated in a microwave oven. Microwave it for small increments of time and watch for the desiccant color to change.

    Air Dryer

    Dual Air Dryer

Stop moisture from reaching tools and equipment. These dryers have a polypropylene filter element that expands when wet, shutting off airflow until the element is replaced. They remove any remaining moisture in your air line that aftercoolers and separators don’t catch. Install them as close as possible to sensitive devices such as plasma cutters and paint guns. Because airflow will stop without warning, you should only use these dryers in systems where a sudden shutoff won’t damage tools and equipment. To prevent debris from clogging the filter element, install them after an oil filter.
Dual Air Dryers—Dual air dryers keep your system running if one filter shuts down. Their auto-switch valve redirects airflow to the other filter as soon as saturation is reached. You can also replace filters one at a time without stopping airflow to the entire system. The valve’s position shows which dryer is in use.
