About Brightness and Light Appearance

Explosion-Proof Floodlights

Light up offshore rigs, coal mines, and other outdoor areas where gas, vapor, or dust could ignite. These lights have an enclosure that contains sparks and explosions, so they won’t react with nearby hazards. The enclosure is also rated IK10, the highest impact rating, so it can withstand heavy blows without breaking. These lights are UL marine listed, with an aluminum housing and stainless steel hardware that resist corrosion from saltwater. They’re also IP66 rated, meaning they are sealed to keep out dust and heavy rain.

Mount these lights to a wall or square pole using the included bracket. The bracket pivots, so you can aim the beam right where you need it.

Hazardous Location Floodlights

Brighten outdoor areas where combustible gases may be present in the event of a leak. Originally designed for marine ports where chemicals are handled, these lights will not ignite flammable materials. They’re UL marine listed, with an aluminum housing and stainless steel hardware that resist corrosion. They’re also rated IP66 for protection from dust and high-pressure washdowns.

Style A

Style A meet ANSI C136.31 for handling 3G vibrations, such as those caused by high winds. Fasten them to a wall or slip them over a 1 _5/8" OD pole. Add a mounting bracket (sold separately) to adapt these lights to a 2_3/8" OD pole and pivot them up to 180°.
