Sieves

Made with precision wire cloth, these sieves provide accurate, consistent sifting results in testing and laboratory applications. Stack sieves with different sieve designations to separate multiple particle sizes at once—order from largest particles to smallest, top to bottom. The bottom of each sieve fits into the top of sieves with the same diameter. Frames meet ASTM E11.

304 Stainless Steel Screen—304 stainless steel is more wear resistant than brass.

Sieve Designation—Sieves with a sieve designation of 14 or less are for large materials with sizes similar to corn kernels and rice. Sift medium-sized materials such as ground coffee and table salt with sieves with a sieve designation of 16-45. Sieves with a sieve designation of 50-140 are for small particles with a size similar to flour. To sift extra-small particles such as talcum powder, use a sieve with a sieve designation of 170 or greater.
