You can leave them attached to batches of food as they cook, unless the oven temperature exceeds 400° F. Each tag has a top layer of cardstock that you can write on with a food-grade permanent marker or pen. The cardstock is durable; it resists water and chemicals. On the back, these tags have a glossy film that makes them hard to tear.
