Penetrating Lubricants for Wire Rope and Cable

Image of Product. Front orientation. Penetrating Lubricants. Penetrating Lubricants for Wire Rope and Cable.
By traveling along individual strands and penetrating to the core of wire rope and cable, these lubricants maximize coverage to prevent rust and reduce wear. They cut through dirt, grease, and rust to protect wire rope and cable. All have PTFE, so they leave no residue. They come in a pen for precision applications.

Made with moisture-resistant calcium sulfonate thickener, this grease resists washing off and reduces corrosion in wet environments while still lubricating under heavy loads. Its zinc alloy additive neutralizes acid and makes it a good replacement for leaded grease. Tackier than gear box grease, it sticks to open gears and roller chain.
Grease lubricates most efficiently within the listed temperature range.
1 NLGI Grade—NLGI 1 is about the consistency of tomato paste.
2.5 NLGI Grade—NLGI 2.5 is between the consistencies of peanut butter and vegetable shortening.
Melting Temperature—Melting temperature is the point at which grease will fail and run out of equipment, leaving it to run dry.
