They protect your hands from extremely hot equipment, sharp objects, and arc flashes. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace. The higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance.
These gloves also meet ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for various forms of protection, such as resistance to cuts, abrasions, punctures, and heat. A higher rating means better protection. All have an ANSI cut rating, which reflects the amount of force required to cut through them with a razor blade. A8 gloves are ideal for handling spikes and bulky objects with sharp edges.
Gloves that meet EN 388 adhere to European standards for resistance to abrasions, tears, cuts, and punctures. These gloves also meet EN 407 standards for heat resistance.
