Their ANSI cut rating reflects the amount of force required to cut through them with a razor blade. Gloves with an A5 or A6 rating can be used for cutting with blades or handling sharp wire. Gloves with a waterproof barrier keep wind and water out, so your hands stay dry. Those with warming pack slots are designed to hold hand warmers in place.
