    Ultra-Corrosion-Resistant Grade 2 Titanium Sheets and Bars

    Because Grade 2 titanium is 99% pure, it is more corrosion resistant than Grades 5 and 9 but not as strong. It has good formability and weldability. Common uses include chemical-processing equipment, heat exchangers, and marine hardware.

    Cut into custom shapes to create shims that suit your needs. With thickness tolerances as fine as a strand of hair, the shims will precisely align, space, and level components on dies, presses, and machinery.
    You can stack multiple shims to achieve your exact thickness, but stacking more than four may cause them to shift. Remember, fewer shims are better, so a couple of thicker shims are more stable than a bunch of thin shims.
    Titanium—Grade 2 titanium, 99% pure, is often used in chemical-processing plants for its resistance to strong acids and other harsh chemicals. It has a high strength-to-weight ratio.
