Style 4 |
Made of cotton fiber layers embedded with aluminum-oxide grains, these bits grind and finish in one step. They’re ideal for light deburring, blending, and finishing metal. These grinding bits remove material more efficiently than rubber-cushioned bits. While grinding, they resist the buildup of aluminum, brass, bronze, and other nonferrous metal. They’re also known as mounted points and die grinder bits. Head diameter is measured at the widest point.
Caution: As bit shank is exposed beyond 1/2", maximum safe rpm decreases significantly. Refer to ANSI standard B7.1. Use only accessories that have a greater rpm rating than the maximum speed of the grinder you choose.

Get more sand for your dollar. These discs have densely packed abrasive to last longer than standard quick-change discs. When they finally wear out, their connector lets you swap out discs in seconds. Choose the connection style that matches your tool or backup pad.
Fiber Abrasive Backing—Multiple layers of cotton fiber are embedded with abrasive that resists clogging.
Aluminum Oxide Abrasive—The most versatile and affordable abrasive we offer. Aluminum oxide is the go-to choice for general purpose sanding.
Grit—The lower the grit number, the rougher the finish and the duller the appearance. The higher the grit number, the more polished the finish and the more satin or mirrored the appearance.

Use these pads to attach a sanding disc to a compatible tool.
Soft—Pads rated soft conform to contoured surfaces and are good for polishing and finishing.
Medium—Pads with medium hardness provide enough support for heavy material removal but are flexible enough for contouring and shaping.
Hard—Pads rated hard hold their shape as you apply pressure and are the best option for aggressive material removal.
