    Ultra-Precision Machine Vises

Designed for precision grinding and inspection, the construction of these vises ensures workpieces are held perfectly square. To move the jaw, remove the screw using a 1/4" hex key (not included) and manually slide the jaw into position. Then replace the screw and tighten to firmly grip the workpiece. The base and three sides of the vise are ground flat to a parallel tolerance of 0.0002", enabling mounting on its base, either side, or upright. Mount through the base with screws or use setup clamps (not included). Vises can be used on Bridgeport-style milling machines as well as drill presses and surface grinders. They are also known as toolmakers’ vises.

    Air-Powered Machine Vises

Compressed air controlled by a foot pedal allows hands-free operation. Step on the pedal to instantly close the moving jaw; step again to release it. Use these vises in production applications with frequent insertion and removal of workpieces on Bridgeport-style milling machines and drill presses. Vises with a jaw height of 1 1/4", 1 5/16", and 2 1/2" can also be used on surface grinders.
To calculate the gripping force on your workpiece, multiply your inlet air pressure by the gripping force factor. Add an air regulator to control force.

    Fixed Base—Single Acting

    Fixed Base—Double Acting

Single Acting—Single-acting vises require the jaw to be manually set to the desired position before use, so these vises are best for repetitive clamping of consistent workpiece sizes. Once the jaw is set, activating the air pressure will move the jaw up to 5/8" to clamp. When air pressure is released, a spring return inside the air cylinder returns the jaw to the set position.
Double Acting—Double-acting vises use air pressure to open and close the jaws without manual adjustment, making these vises a good choice when clamping workpieces of varying size.

    Magnetic Workholding Chucks

Image of Product. Front orientation. Magnetic Workholding Plates. Magnetic Workholding Chucks.
To grind, drill, lightly mill, and machine parts that rotate around an axis, these chucks hold parts in place magnetically so you can access their inner and outer diameters. Use them when clamps will not fit or could damage the part’s finish. To switch the magnetic grip on and off, pull their handle. They have mounting holes for fitting in your machine, or your machine’s chuck can hold them.
Fine Magnetic Pole Spacing—Chucks with fine magnetic pole spacing hold parts that are smaller or thinner than 1/4".
Standard Magnetic Pole Spacing—Chucks with standard magnetic pole spacing grip large and thick parts. They’re good for most applications.

    Magnetic Workholding Plates

Image of Product. Front orientation. Magnetic Workholding Plates. Magnetic Workholding Plates.
The entire surface of these plates is magnetic to provide a powerful hold for grinding, drilling, and electrical discharge machining (EDM). They’re useful when clamps would interfere with your process and when there aren’t any convenient spots for clamping material. Pull the handle to switch the magnets on and off. Use the mounting clamps to secure the plate to your machine table and the removable back and side rails to keep your workpiece in position. Plates are sealed against dirt and liquid so they can be submerged in oil baths. They are not recommended for processes where workpieces are submerged in water.
Fine Magnetic Pole Spacing—Fine magnetic pole spacing provides the best hold on small or thin (1/4" or less) parts.
Standard Magnetic Pole Spacing—Standard magnetic pole spacing is suitable for most applications. It will provide the best grip on large or thick parts.
Fine and Standard Magnetic Pole Spacing—Plates with fine and standard magnetic pole spacing have more than twice the holding power of other plates. Use them with large and small parts.

    Vacuum Workholding Plates

Also known as vacuum chucks, these plates secure thin and flexible parts that can’t be held with vises or clamps for milling, drilling, routing, and finishing operations. Connect the system to your shop’s compressed air supply and it's ready to use. For applications requiring only part of the plate surface, use the gasket cord to seal off the area.

    Riser

    Riser with 1" Wide Step

    Riser with 2" Wide Step

Risers, also known as vacuum pods, raise the workpiece off the vacuum table to give the cutting tool better access. Suction transfers from the table through the top of the riser, so to get a firm hold the workpiece must make contact with the full top length and width of the riser.

    Retracting Stop Pins with Pin

    Retracted

Retracting stop pins let you repeatably locate parts on your vacuum table. After positioning your workpiece against these pins, turn on the vacuum and the stop pins retract, dropping out of the way so the cutting tool has full access to the workpiece.

    Bench Vises for Dremel

Free up a hand while using your Dremel on a workpiece. You can use these vises in three different ways: hold your Dremel to make it a stationary tool, secure your workpiece in the vise, or remove the clamp and use it on its own. These vises rotate 360° and tilt, so you can work on your project from any angle.
