The rigid bristles are partially twisted with a slightly flexible tuft at the end. These brushes handle tasks such as edge rounding and removing weld slag, heavy surface contamination, and large burs. Also known as knot-wire brushes.

    Compressing

Deburr using your CNC machine without complex programming. These holders grip your deburring tools and extend and retract along the shape of your part to smooth away burs—no overcutting. All you need to do is tell your CNC machine which direction to go. Use them with ball burs.
To mount these tool holders to your machine, you will need another rotary tool holder or a collet that accepts a 20 mm diameter shank, such as an ER-32 collet. They should not be held by hydraulic chucks or shrink-fit holders. To install your bur, you'll need an ER-11 collet. Use the spanner wrench (sold separately) to tighten the tool holder nut around the collet.
These tool holders should not be used with cutting fluid; clear any fluid or debris off your workpiece before deburring.
Fixed Spring Load—Tool holders with a fixed spring load apply a consistent amount of force. They apply force by pushing down (compression) when working on the front of your part and pulling back (tension) when working on the back of your part, so you can deburr both sides with a single holder.
Adjustable Spring Load—Tool holders with an adjustable spring load have four levels of deburring force. They only apply force by pushing down (compression) on your part, so they can only deburr the front.
Light Spring Load—A light spring load has a delicate cutting action, applying about the same amount of pressure as your pinky finger. It is ideal for aluminum, plastics, and other soft materials.
Medium Spring Load—A medium spring load is best for moderate cutting action, applying about as much pressure as your index finger. Use it when deburring steel.
Heavy Spring Load—A heavy spring load is best for aggressive cutting—it gives about the same force as pressing down with your palm. Use it on stainless steel and other hard materials.

    CNC-Mount Burs for Cross-Drilled Holes

Debur holes that intersect within your workpiece (cross holes) while protecting internal surfaces. With a ring around the cutting face, these burs slide toward cross holes without nicking or gouging walls along the way. The shanks are longer and thinner than standard burs, so these burs reach deep into workpieces while remaining flexible enough to clean up the entire edge of the hole. However, they’re still rigid enough that they won’t wobble as they rotate. The end of the shank can flex out as far as the bur's head diameter, but no further.
Mount these burs in your CNC machines to debur material as part of your automated workflow. Like end mills, they fit into the CNC machine’s tool holder, so you can swap them out throughout the machining process. Alternatively, you can also attach these burs to electric rotary tools for manual deburring. However, they’re not compatible with air-powered tools. To avoid injury, don’t turn your tool on before you insert it into the bore of your workpiece.

Debur the front edges of cross holes. When these burs reach a hole’s opening, the protective ring slips into the hole, and the cutting face contacts the front edges. The protective ring also prevents damage to the cross hole's back wall if you insert the bur too far.

Debur the back and front edges of cross holes. Like the half-ball shape, the cutting face closest to the bur’s shank removes material from a cross hole’s front edges. The cutting face on the opposite side of the protective ring allows you to also debur the back edges of the hole.
