The diamond abrasive in these bits is extremely hard and lasts longer than tungsten carbide. For longer tool life and improved finish, use a water- or oil-soluble mist or coolant.
Bits are also known as mounted points and die grinder bits. Head diameter is measured at the widest point.
Caution: As bit shank is exposed beyond 1/2", maximum safe rpm decreases significantly. Refer to ANSI standard B7.1. Use only accessories that have a greater rpm rating than the maximum speed of the grinder you choose.

Made of diamond abrasive, these wheels cut ceramics, tile, and other abrasive materials. Because they’re miniature, they work best to make small, precise cuts. Use them to make plunge cuts in the center of material or to make flush cuts. The higher the grit number, the finer the grit. Choose a coarser grit for fast cuts; choose a finer grit for smooth cuts.
Warning: Use wheels that have a greater rpm rating than the no-load rpm of your tool.

Long-Life Hook and Loop Sanding Discs

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sanding Discs. Long-Life Hook and Loop Sanding Discs.
With tougher abrasive than other hook-and-loop discs, these discs stay sharp longer. The backing makes them reusable, so you can switch grits while avoiding the waste of adhesive-backed discs. Pair with a compatible sanding tool or backup pad (sold separately).
Paper Abrasive Backing—Good for high-volume sanding where you'll go through lots of discs.
Aluminum Oxide Abrasive—The most versatile and affordable abrasive we offer. Aluminum oxide is the go-to choice for general purpose sanding.
Grit—The lower the grit number, the rougher the finish and the duller the appearance. The higher the grit number, the more polished the finish and the more satin or mirrored the appearance.

Adhesive-Back Sanding Discs for Masonry, Ceramics, and Composites

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sanding Discs. Adhesive-Back Sanding Discs for Masonry, Ceramics, and Composites.
The hardest of all abrasives, diamond is the best choice for extremely hard materials. These discs cut quickly and wear slowly when sanding masonry, ceramics, and composites. Press them onto sanding tools or backup pads for a hold that won’t slip. To ensure the best bond, clean the pad with a mild alcohol—avoid harsh solvents such as MEK and acetone that can damage the adhesive. Also known as PSA discs.
Cloth Abrasive Backing—Resist tearing and hold up to wet sanding better than paper-backed discs.

Paper Abrasive Backing—Good for high-volume sanding where you'll go through lots of discs.
Silicon Carbide Abrasive—Super sharp to cut quickly under light pressure. Silicon carbide is hard but brittle, so it tends to wear out sooner than other abrasives.

The abrasive on these discs is sharp and durable enough to cut hard metals without dulling quickly. Press discs onto sanding tools or backup pads for a hold that won’t slip. To ensure the best bond, clean the pad with a mild alcohol—avoid harsh solvents such as MEK and acetone that can damage the adhesive. Also known as PSA discs.
Paper Abrasive Backing—Good for high-volume sanding where you'll go through lots of discs.
Ceramic Alumina Abrasive—The sharp edges cut quickly for efficient material removal.
Grit—The lower the grit number, the rougher the finish and the duller the appearance. The higher the grit number, the more polished the finish and the more satin or mirrored the appearance.

    Backup Pad Protector

Our most clog-resistant discs. These have a slick coating and a mesh backing to clear dust and prevent buildup that can dull the abrasive. The hook-and-loop mount lets you switch grits without waste, unlike adhesive-backed discs. Pair with a compatible backup pad and sander.
Cloth Mesh Abrasive Backing—Perforations allow debris through for low-dust sanding when paired with a vacuum sander.
Aluminum Oxide Abrasive—The most versatile and affordable abrasive we offer. Aluminum oxide is the go-to choice for general purpose sanding.
Backup Pad Protector—Discs that include protectors shield your backup pads from dust and debris, minimizing wear and extending their life.
Grit—The lower the grit number, the rougher the finish and the duller the appearance. The higher the grit number, the more polished the finish and the more satin or mirrored the appearance.

Pair these discs with a vacuum sander to keep your workspace clean. Dust is drawn away through the holes instead of floating into the air or building up on the abrasive. The hook-and-loop mount lets you switch grits without scrapping the disc, unlike adhesive-backed discs. Choose the hole configuration that matches your backup pad and vacuum sander.
