    Climbing-Style Hard Hats

With a low profile, these hard hats give close-fitting protection to your head in confined spaces. They don’t have a brim, so you can see what’s above you and avoid snagging on climbing gear. Chin straps hold these hard hats in place when working in strong wind, upside down, and sideways. For protection from more than just falling objects, these hard hats are rated ANSI/ISEA Z89.1, Type II to deflect both top and off-center blows to the head. Made of ABS plastic, they resist impacts better than standard hard hats. A foam shell reduces the force on the head and neck during impact by absorbing the force.
To add a face shield, earmuffs, and other accessories, use the mounting slots on the sides.

Class C hard hats have not been tested for electrical protection. They have ventilation holes that increase air flow to keep you cool.
Hard hats with MIPS (multi-directional impact protection system) provide more protection to your brain than standard climbing-style hard hats. A low-friction layer inside the helmet allows your head to shift slightly during an impact. This shift directs rotational force away from the brain, so it causes less damage. These hard hats also have clamps for headlamp straps.

Class E hard hats insulate from electrical shocks and are often used near overhead power lines and high-voltage equipment. They’re tested at 20,000 volts.

    Type II, Class C—Brimless

These hard hats give all-in-one head, face, and ear protection. You can lift the face shield and earmuffs when not in use. Turn the ratchet in the back to adjust for a secure fit.
II—Type II, Class C hard hats protect your head from blows to the top and the sides. A foam shell absorbs impact to reduce force on your neck and head. These hard hats have chin straps, so they stay secure when working sideways, upside down, and in the wind. Designed for forestry, they have a corrosion-resistant steel mesh lens that guards the face while letting a cool wind in. They also have ventilation holes to increase air circulation and maintain a comfortable temperature. Their ratchet knob pivots to fit around ponytails and bandanas. They have not been tested for electrical protection.

Often used in search and rescue operations, these helmets have rail mounts for night vision goggles, headsets, and other equipment. With devices secure and hands free, you can focus on your mission. Their polystyrene liner protects the neck and head by absorbing force during impact. To hold the helmet secure on your head, a ratchet in the back adjusts the fit. Chin straps keep the helmet in place when working upside down and in heavy wind. These helmets meet U.S. safety standards for military operations and European safety standards for whitewater sports and mountaineering, protecting your head in a variety of extreme environments.
To keep you cool under pressure, the helmets have ventilation holes and moisture-wicking padding. Snap the included vent covers on when you need to keep dust and debris out. They also have a sweatband to prevent perspiration from getting in your eyes.
Use a headlamp adapter (sold separately) to attach a light to the night vision goggle mount without needing to use tools. The adapter holds the lamp firmly to the helmet so it doesn't slide off during use.
Use headset adapters or headset and boom microphone adapters (both sold separately) to clip communication systems onto the helmet. Once the adapters are installed, you can take the communication systems on and off without tools. Headset adapters are compatible with helmet-mounted headsets. Headset and boom microphone adapters let you convert headsets with a headband or neckband to helmet mount. Once attached, the headset earpieces can be flipped up when you’re not using them so it’s easier to take the helmet off quickly. They also include a boom microphone adapter.
Add a visor (sold separately) to the helmet for eye protection. No need for tools—just snap it on. Once attached, you can lift the visor away from the face and lock it in the up position. A coating on the inside and outside resists scratching. These visors are rated EN 166:2002 Class 2B for clarity and impact resistance to protect from debris, water, and wind.
