Hazardous Location Ceiling and Wall Lights

Brighten chemical plants, refineries, and other facilities where flammable and combustible gases, dust, or fibers may be present in the event of a leak or ventilation failure. These lights are rated for use in NEC Class I, II, and III, Division 2 hazardous locations.

Also known as jelly jar lights, they have a heat-resistant tempered glass lens. A guard shields the lens from impacts. These lights are rated IP66 and NEMA 4X for protection from washdowns, dust, and corrosion.

Retrofit kits convert existing fixtures to LED, which eliminates the need to replace bulbs frequently. They also reduce heat and energy use. These kits are only compatible with Appleton V-51 and Killark V-Series fixtures. They require no tools to install, and you can discard the existing lens and guard after installation. UL listed, these kits can be used in wet locations and are sealed to block moisture.

These lights are rated for use in NEC Class 1, Division 2 hazardous locations. IP or NEMA rated, their seal also blocks out water and dust, so you can use them in damp, humid, and even washdown areas. Use the mounting holes to mount these lights to your ceiling.

High-Temperature Hazardous Location Ceiling Lights

Built for hot, hazardous areas such as steel mills and refineries, these lights work in temperatures up to 212° F. Rated NEC Classes I and II, they’re safe to use where there are ignitable concentrations of flammable or combustible gases, vapors, liquids, and dust. Rated IP67 and NEMA 6, they’re sealed against humidity, washdowns, and even temporary submersion. They’ll also stay sealed in dusty conditions.

Mount these lights with the included bracket. It tilts to direct light where you need it.

These lights last at least a year when used at 212° F continuously. And at 131° F, they’ll last almost 7 years.

These lights have an explosion-proof housing that contains sparks and flames, so they won’t react to nearby hazards. With a T4 classification, their surface temperature stays below 275° F to avoid igniting flammable substances. Because they’re totally sealed, they also work well in wet, dusty, and corrosive environments—they’re IP and NEMA rated, and UL marine listed.

Mount them to your ceiling or other surface with the included adjustable bracket. The bracket pivots, so you can aim the light where needed. To suspend them from your ceiling, combine a pendant mount and junction box (sold separately).

The enclosure on these jelly jar lights contains explosions, sparks, and flashes. These lights are safe to use in NEC Class I, II, and III, Division 1 hazardous locations. Certified to a T4 (275° F) or T5 (212° F) temperature classification, their surface stays cool enough to avoid igniting flammable material. Mount these lights in large, open areas where flammable and combustible gases may be present, such as during leaks or ventilation failures. These lights are rated for use in NEC Class 1, Division 2 hazardous locations. They meet NEC hazardous location temperature classifications, so their surface stays cool enough to avoid igniting hazardous gases. All are IP rated and UL marine listed, which confirms they also keep out dust and water and resist the corrosive effects of salt water. Mount them to your ceiling or wall with the included bracket.

For additional protection, choose a light rated for more NEC classes.

Style 1 are IK08 rated—they'll withstand impact. They have a tempered glass lens that resists scratches better than a polycarbonate lens. Hazardous Environment Emergency Backup Lights

Install these lights in aircraft hangars, gas plants, and other facilities where flammable and combustible gases or dust may be present, such as leaks or ventilation failures. Rated NEC Class I, Division 2, they seal out gases but aren't built to contain explosions. The sealed design also keeps out liquid and dust—they're rated NEMA 4X and IP66 to resist washdowns. An ETL sanitation marking verifies they're safe for use in food environments.

Adjust the heads toward your walkways—they kick on when the power goes out, lighting the path toward exits. Rated UL 924, their battery generates at least 90 minutes of light. A low-voltage disconnect extends the life of the battery by switching it off before it’s fully drained. Once a month, these lights automatically test that the battery and heads are working. An indicator tells you if they need maintenance. They also have a manual switch to test them any time.

Wire these lights to add-on heads to extend lighting into stairwells, exits, and other remote areas. The greater the wattage of the add-on heads—and the more of them you use—the more they’ll reduce your light’s run time.

Upgrade your existing hazardous location bay lights to energy-efficient LEDs. Choose a light that matches the model already in place—they’ll fit into your existing hood and connect to the wires already in your conduit. Safe to use in areas with combustible concentrations of gases, vapors, dust, and fibers, these lights are rated NEC Class I, II, and III.

These lights even stand up in wet and outdoor locations. Rated IP66 and IP67, they withstand washdowns and submersion in water. They’re also dust tight. For resisting salt water and other corrosive liquids, they’re UL marine listed and NEMA 4X rated. They’ll keep shining in extreme temperatures, from -40° F to 145° F.

Style A—Style A have mounting holes that align perfectly with Crouse-Hinds mounting hoods—no mounting adapter required.
